13 Izzy threw open her bedroom window and breathed in the sea air. It was a brisk Easter morning in Felixstowe, and beneath the street hubbub she could almost hear the waves splashing against the beach. She couldn’t remember the last time she felt so happy to be away from London. It was a horrible thought, but there was no denying it. Here, she didn’t have to negotiate between friendships, didn’t have to face what she had wrought amongst the most important people in her life. Here she could just be herself and be loved for herself no matter what. As if on cue, Rocco stuck his nose through the c***k in her door and after a moment of looking coy padded in and head-butted her on the hip. She laughed and rewarded him with head scritches. “You beast, I’ve missed you.” He followed her down
