Simeons’ dad had called him that morning and asked him to bring the delivery of fresh vegetables and fruits to the restaurant that he father had started almost twelve years ago. His dad had said it was only right that they share what the Goddess had blessed them with. Any extra was donated.
His dad had said that Jack was not allowed at he restaurant anymore. Apparently, too many women, both customers and employees, had filed complaints against him.
Simeons’ dad had decided to ban Jack from going anywhere near the restaurant until he either changed his attitude with women or apologized to the female employees.
Simeon hoped his brother would apologize. However, he knew that his brother never would.
When Jack had heard about Simeon turning into a female wolf, he had began to harass his brother. Jack was three years older then Simeon. When Jack had first turned into a wolf, their parents had been pleased with what he turned into. Jack was a large black male wolf.
Jack use to turn into his wolf at night and sneak into Simeons’ room and frighten him. This would cause Lila to appear and try to protect Simeon. Being a smaller wolf, she was able to hide in small spaces.
The problems between the brothers hadn’t stopped. Simeon had simply turned eighteen and left for college. When he returned, his father allowed him to move into his own house. Jack would try to come over uninvited. Simeon had been training Lila while at college and she had grown stronger. She was now able to sense when people were near who Simeon did not know or like.
The first night in his new home, Jack had tried to break into the house while Simeon had been asleep. She had taken control and called their father to come get him. She had warned Jack that if he came back she would have him arrested.
Jack had waited a week before he returned and broke into the house. Lila had woken Simeon this time and told him that Jack was in the house. Simeon had called his father first to tell him that Jack was in his house, he had then called the sheriff,
The sheriff had arrived first and had found Simeon pinning his brother down. The sheriff had put hand cuffs on Jack and taken him back to the station.
When their father arrived, he had shook his head and left to go back home.
That had been almost a month ago.
As soon as Simeon entered the restaurant, Lila began to act weird. As he approached the back storage room, Lila became even more excited.
“What is it, Lila?” he asked her in his mind.
“I can sense our mates,” she said. “They are close.”
“What?” he asked her.
“I can sense her,” she said. “Her wolf is powerful.”
Simeon could say anthing more as he had entered the room and a woman turned to him.
“Hello,” the woman said, turning to face him. “I’m Serena.”
“I’m Simeon,” he said. He stared at her for a minute.
“She is mate,” Lila said. “We need to kiss her.”
He then looked to the side and said out loud, “What? Why?”
“Are you alright?” she asked.
He shook his head before looking at her again.
“I’m fine,” he said. “I have the delivery that Dad ordered.”
“Of course,” she said. “I’ll help you.”
“No need,” he said. “I’ll bring it in and then we can put it away.”
He left and quickly returned with the first box. As he sat it down, she went to open it and touched his hand. Lila started to go even crazier.
He looked at her before hurrying from the room to get another box.
He had just walked into the room as she yelled, “Kiss him?”
He dropped the box and looked at her.
“Do you want to kiss me as well?” he asked.
“What?” she asked.
“I want to kiss you,” he said.
