I checked the time on my watch, 1:00PM. The Full Moon Party would begin in five hours. I messaged Jake to see if he wanted to go for a run with Renis, his wolf.
Jake: Meet out the back of your house in 10 minutes?
Jake replied instantly. He must be sitting by his phone, bored, too.
Me: Done!
I went back to my room to lay out my clothes for tonight before Jake arrived. I laid out my dark gray suit and the red tie that had our pack symbol on it on the bed. I grabbed the plain white shirt that Mum had ironed for me and hung it on the hook behind my bedroom door. My door swung open while I was still behind it, squashing my toe underneath it as it hit me.
"Urgh!" I yelped, grabbing hold of my toe as if squeezing it would make it feel better.
"Oh, sorry..." Dad mumbled, opening
