What is that? Violet asked, my heartbeat quickening. Something was hitting my bedroom window from outside. I quietly slid my covers off and tiptoed over to my window. It took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the dark outside but I saw a figure standing on the lawn. I slid my window open to get a clearer look.
"Who is there?" I whisper-yelled. Hoping no one else in the house would hear. I knew Mum and Darren had gone to bed about an hour ago and I hadn't heard anything from Emma for a while.
"It's me!" Flynn called to me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, glancing around at the neighboring houses to see if anyone was out and about.
"I came to see you." he whispered. My heart swelled, "Can I come up?" He asked.
