The village homes were etched in the wide valley as if placed by some careful and detailed collectors. Yet, it was a ghost deserted townlet.
“I think this is a peasant and a farmer's village,” Ruby murmured.
“What made you think that?” Sheila Marie asked and took a glance all around.
“Look at the cottages, on this medieval times the peasants and farmers live in the cottages.” Ruby knew they lived in cottages. The people built their homes using wood, reeds, twigs, mud, and straw. The roofs were attached and made of bundles of reeds. She took a peek inside the empty cottage and notices the inside walls were made of wattle and daub twigs weaved and coated with mud and straw to make a hard, plaster-like surface to keep out drafts.
