Cori stared at the one-story brick house as she and Jesse walked up the sidewalk. He still hadn’t told her where they were going, short of checking into the hotel a few days early. This sure as hell wasn’t the hotel.
Every time she asked where they were going, all he would do was smile and say it was a surprise. It was cute and all, but it made her nervous too. Surprise visits weren’t always welcome. He of all people should know that after her sister and Theo showed up at the cabin.
