Jesse couldn’t fight back another yawn and gave in to it as the movie came to an end. He fiddled with the remote, pressing the mute button so the music wouldn’t blare through the cabin. Since he and Cori started the movie, he hadn’t heard any movement about the house.
He’d caught a glimpse of Cassie and Theo going to their room before he went to Cori’s door. Whether they were asleep or talking, he couldn’t say. It didn’t matter either way, as long as they left him alone.
