Chapter ThreeJulia stared at the ceiling. Sleep was eluding her. Her mind just would not switch off, and it was driving her mad. Julia was exhausted, her head hurt and she felt nauseous, but she couldn’t get to sleep. Damn Clancy. He had to keep pestering her. Why wouldn’t he leave her alone? Surely when someone leaves in the middle of the night without warning should mean they didn’t want to be followed or bothered. Any normal person would be able to figure out that something was wrong, bad enough to have the other person in their life to leave without notice. They would realize that they f****d up. Clancy didn’t seem to have that mentality. He seemed to be under the impression that this was Julia’s way of having a hissy fit and he needed to placate her in order to get her to come back.
