After Lennox and Noah left.The atmosphere between Autumn and I had changed drastically.Maybe not drastically but it was more than that.For the first time, Autumn did not say a word to me,even when we ordered our food.

It doesn't help that I felt something different when he touched me.The moment he touched me ,I felt a jolt in my whole body ,like something snapped.I felt this strong desire weaving it's way in my heart.The worse part about this was that ,he is extremely easy to the eye,His long black hair that was tied roughly and his gray eyes that could make any person literally lose their mind.There is no way I can tell my best friend that.

I take a sip of my juice slowly and dip my fries in the ketchup while waiting for her to say something.The only thing she is doing right now is tapping on her phone like a maniac with her long red nails.

Autumn is the only nice friend I have.She is someone who cheers me up when I'm sad and motivates me to do my best.Her silence right now is so painful that I can't even eat my own food properly.

"Your food is getting cold ,"I say

Autumn lifts her eyes from her phone and looks at the burger and fries on the plate.Then she looks at me for a few solid seconds.I have never felt so much animosity just from a stare.A shiver runs down my spine as she directs her gaze back to her phone and continues to tap away.

I can't take this anymore ...!

"I had no idea that Lennox was going to to do that,"My voice cracks again," He is probably someone that has some strong sense of justice and I'm sure he would do the same to you or any other gender."

Autumn looks at me and puts her phone down.My delivery wasn't the best but there's no way I'm going to stand this animosity from her.If she understands that I have no idea what happened then it will be fine.

"You are right!"she smiles sadly,"I'm just acting like an immature kid crying over candy."

"That's entirely different," I cringe ,"But you have every right to be upset."

"No,"she whines in a low tone ,"The truth is i wanted it to be me.I wanted it to be the one laying on the ground and Lennox saving me ."

"I'm really sorry that it happened that way.He was totally rude to me after helping me out.I hope it makes you feel better,"I say .

"Yeah,I don't think you are his type."she replies in a nonchalant tone.

The statement maybe true but hearing that from my best friend makes my chest tighten.

"No,I'm really sorry,"she apologizes quickly ," you are beautiful and I mean you are far too good for him.Even though,I have a crush on him ,I have to admit that he was wrong."

"I think I'm not hungry anymore,"I put down the folk slowly and proceed to stand up but Autumn grabs my wrist before I even have a chance to leave the small booth.

I know she meant every word she said.It is true that I'm dull and not easy on the eye.But hearing that from her crushed my whole self esteem in just a few seconds.

"Please sit ,"she insists.

"I'm really sorry for saying that and I didn't mean it like that,"she apologizes in a soft tone I have never heard before,"You are beautiful and I was just being unreasonable.Please forgive me."

I can't drag this any further.

"Fine,"I sigh ," Today was probably not a good day to even hang out."

I already miss my bed and the books that I left.This is the price I have to pay for choosing to step outside.Autumn will be the death of me.

"I just really love Lennox and I wish I could get his attention but the only thing he ever does is just glare at everything in his sight but today when he looked at you ,it was different,"she pouts.

Hearing that odd statement sends a traitorous pulse through my veins.There is no way that Lennox Glenn looked at me in a different way for a split second.With the way that Autumn behaved and how deeply she likes him.I have to shove whatever I'm feeling and forget this happened or else my life will be total hell.
