POV Jake
The two weeks that Lola was gone passed in a blink of a eye.
You could see of the way she texted back to me she was quite busy.
Today is the first day of my free week. Me and the guys meet up this evening for a drink. But I couldn't help myself to text Lola asking we can meet up soon. The whole day I was thinking to send a message or not. I didn't want to look desperate to meet her. Even I know this is not right but it does feel right but we can't be together I can not let her in my life . I'm not good for her. My head was spinning of all my thoughts I can really use a drink tonight. Liam and a few other friends of mine came over with Chinese food to my place to eat first before we would go the bar. We arrived at the bar we walked in the crowded place heading to a booth to take a seat. In a instant a waitress came to us ordering our drinks.
" Hi I'm Tania what do guys want to drink? " she said in happy tone.
" You can bring us all a beer please " I said.
" Excellent I bring them over right away " she replied while she winked at me.
Oh great not again I thought to myself .
" I think you gonna get again a napkin with a phone number on " Liam said with a big grin.
" Well I hate when they do it " I said while shrugging my shoulders.
" You are no fun Jake just date these cute girls. It's not that you are in a relationship now" he said.
" You know what ? I will give you the napkin so you could find yourself a girlfriend " I said with a smirk on my face.
At that instant the waitress came with our drinks and guess what she had? A napkin placed on my drink with her number one.
" Enjoy your drinks. If you need me just wave me over" she said before leaving.
The moment she left I took the napkin to give it to Liam " here you go. The number of your new girlfriend " I said. And everyone around the table started to laugh. We had a amazing time and for once in a few days I didn't think about her.
Until I heard her voice. Was I really dreaming until I turned around to see her with a guy. I felt my anger started to raise but I could see he just walk away from her. So I relaxed in a instant.
" She looks like a feisty hottie" Laim said.
" I would accept her number on a napkin " a other blurted out.
" She can be my girlfriend anytime " Laim stated.
" Enough " I said to gritted teeth.
" You don't talk about her this way this girl is a friend of my sister. So keep you thoughts for yourself."I said.
" Wow chill Jake. I did not ask her out yet " Liam said with a smirk on his face holding his hands up .
" Don't you dare to ask her out she is mine" I spit out.
" Oh since when are you really interested in anyone " Liam asked.
" I'm not interested in her she is just a really good friend of our family" I said.
" If you think so but I never heard you defence somebody other then you sister and the look in your eyes tell everything"
he said.
I stood up and said " I go to the restroom " while I glared to Liam hoping they stop talking about her when I'm back.
The moment I was in the restroom I heard a little commotion outside. I rushed myself after washing my hands. I pushed the door open saying
" You heard the girl leave her alone " while I stept outside. I saw the same guy from earlier again with his hands around her wrists pulling on her.
I could feel my anger raising again.
" Let her go " I said to gritted teeth.
She turned her head. Her blue eyes met mine and I saw a flinch of panic in her eyes.
She yelpt because he was tightening his grip on her wrists. My anger consumed myself and I rushed over to him to grab him by his collar pulling him up from te floor.
" Leave her alone or you get in trouble with me " I spit on his face while I dropped him .
He felt down on his knees not knowing what to do.
So I turned myself around to face Lola again. The moment I turned around I saw that she was scared. But I don't know if it was because of him or it was due to me.
I know I can look quite scaring when I am angry. " Hi sunshine everything alright? " I said in a soft tone. While looking at her my anger started to subside. I could see she started to relax the moment I grabbed her schouder.
" Yeah I'm fine the guy just thought he could do anything he wanted with me" she said .
At that instant my anger was raising. I turned around to grab him again but before I could he runned away like a scared little rat.
We walked together outside the place
while I asked her " Sure everything is alright? ".
" Yeah I'm fine " she said while shrugging her shoulders. We parted our ways she went to the bar . I couldn't help myself to stare at her while she walked of. I went back to my friends.
" What took you so long?". Laim asked.
" Nothing " I replied.
" Sure you where not trying to hit on that hot friend of your sister " he said before he chuckled.
"Really funny Liam " i said while I hit him on the back of his head.
And before he could begin the subject again I grabbed my beer drinking it in one shot empty.
" Ready to have some fun on the dance floor?" I said to everyone.
We headed al to the dance floor to amuse ourselves. I saw in a distance Lisa, Lola and their friends amusing themselves. Her smile and her happy personality started to melt my heart and I let it melt.
I walked up to the bar to grab a drink before heading back to the dance floor. After I emptied my glass I returned to see that my friends where trying to get her attention by dancing around her. It was quite funny they tried but she didn't give a s**t about them. I mingled myself with my friends to be close to Lola.
At a instant the DJ started to play a slow song and the only thing I could think of is asking Lola to dance with me before one of a jerk would wanted to dance with her.
I placed my hands around her tiny waist while she placed her hands on my shoulders. I could smell her divine scent it made my heart beating faster. She was staring to my chest not dearing to look at me but like she could read my thoughts she looked me straight in the eyes. I couldn't help but stair in her mesmerising eyes but she didn't looked away. I was lost in the moment. My mind and body did their own thing. I looked in her eyes and looking down to her lips and back pulling her closer. Her lips where so kissable and inviting I leaned in closer to her. In that moment I realised I wanted to kiss her but instead I turned my head to wispher in her ear.
" I really missed you sunshine ".
At that instant the music changed pulling me out of the moment we had.
Then I realised what is was doing. I turned around and walked away from Lola without saying anything.
What did I do ? I can't be together with her. What will she think about me ?
Al these thoughts where filling my head. I stept in the car and took of I can't see her again I can't.
I drove like a mad men. My phone started to ring I decline it.
I don't want to talk to anyone. I parked my car and went straight to my loft to let me drop in coach. My hands moving over my face " what have I done " I muttered.
My phone started to ring again switched the thing of now. I stood up walking to my bar to pour myself a glass of scotch emptying it in one sip. I throwed the glass to the wall and the thing scattered in thousand pieces. In that instant i let my anger consume me
After punching the punching bag a like feeling a hundred times I walked up to couch again to turn on the television this time.
I stared at the thing for a hour or so before I drifted to sleep.
