Chapter 15

POV Lisa

Finally Lola comes back home from her trip abroad. So I texted her to ask if she was willing to go with me and a few friends to a nice bar we visited frequently. The next day I got a phone call from Lola telling me that she would love to go out tonight. So I texted my friends the details where we heading to tonight. After I helped my mom a little bit with dinner. We seated our self’s on the dining table. “Lisa did your heard something of Jake this week?” my mom asked. “No mom, I didn’t hear a thing of him. He will be too occupied with work I think” I said to her. I could see my mom is quiet upset of not hearing so much of Jake. She knew he was really a workaholic but she would love to have him more around. She was so hoping that he would find someone so he hopefully would settle down and be more around. But that was not case he had a few of different girlfriends but none looked like he was happy with or would settle down with. “Huh mom I go out tonight with Lola”. “Oh great I hope you have an amazing time she is such a lovely person”. “Yeah I know her one of my best friends “I said with a big smile one my face. “ Sorry mom I have to go and prepare myself “I stood up from my chair walking over to my mom to hug her. “Have fun” she said while hugging me. I went upstairs to shower and change myself in blue flower dress. After I was done I walked to the garage to get my car. I started the engine and put on one of my favourite songs the whole drive I was singing along with my radio. When I pulled on the driveway and phoned Lola telling her that I waited for her downstairs. After I waited for what felt like an hour Lola opened the passenger door she drop herself in the seat. “What took you so long” I asked her. “I forgot to put my shoes on so I had to go back to take them “she said with a big smile on her face. We both started to laugh this is something so typical for her when she is in a rush she forgot always something. One time she woke up to late and in all the rush she left with her slippers on. We talked with each other during the drive I asked her how her trip was. She said that it was hard because they had tight schedule but also happy to be back meeting her friends and granddad. I parked the car in a parking lot we stepped both of the car to walk over to my other friends. We greeted each other and walked all together inside the bar. We took our place in one of the booths on the side of the building. After having a few drinks and chit chatting with each other. We agreed to go over to the dancefloor to have some fun. While going over to the bar after drinks I saw my brother and his friends sitting in a booth. He can go out but he cannot come over to visit mom I thought. I was now a little angry on him why didn’t he answer mums phone calls. I took the drinks and went back to the girls trying to not think a lot about the matter. After Lola came back with drinks she looked a little startled. “What took you so long? “I asked her. “Sorry somebody held me up “she said. But I could sense she didn’t want to speak over it so I let it go. We drank our drinks and went back to dancefloor before I knew Jake and his friends where dancing around us. Was it maybe because of Jake that Lola acted a little bit of earlier I thought. Because of all of the drinks I needed the restroom. The moment I entered the restroom I heard that the DJ started a slow song I was quiet glad I was no longer on the dancefloor anymore. Nothing I did find so hateful then doing a slow with stranger. I took my time checking my make-up before I headed back. I walked in the place suprisely to see Jake and Lola dancing together you could see sparks coming of them. They looked amazing together I never saw my brother looking to someone like he was looking at her right now. I went straight to the bar ordering a other rounds of drinks. The moment I reached the table the DJ changed the slow music to a dance song again. The moment I turned around I see Jake storm of and Lola frozen on the spot. I walked straight over to Lola she stood their totally shocked I reached out to her shoulder but she didn’t react I took me a few times calling her name before she reacted. “Lola, Lola?” I yelled at her. “Yeah Lisa you don’t have to yell on me “she said annoyed. “Sorry but you didn’t react. What happened? “I asked her. “Huh I don’t know me and Jake where dancing together it was quiet nice actually but the moment the song stopped he stormed out. I don’t know what I did wrong?” she said. She was really confused of what did just happened. I took her in a hug while I whispered in her ear “I didn’t know you and my brother where a thing “. “ Me and your brother are really not a thing “ she replied while she pulled her out of the embrace and looking really shocked about what I just said. “Sorry I don’t want to ruin your night but can we go home. I’m a little tired “she said. “Of course let’s go”. We said goodbye to our friends and went to the car the whole drive it was awkwardly silent. She jumped out of the car “Thank you for the evening” she said. She turned her back and walked straight inside. During the drive home I was thinking what did happened between those two they looked fine the moment I left after drinks. The moment I was home I took my phone I start to ring my brother but the call went straight to voicemail. I changed myself in my pj’s and went straight to bed . The next day I woke up with a headache why do I drink always so much even if I know I don’t handle drinks very well. I pulled myself up to sit straight in my bed leaning against the headboard. I took my phone and opened the thing to write a message to Lola.

Good morning Lola

everything fine with you after yesterday?If you are ready to talk I’m here for you

Lisa

I stood up from my bed to go the bathroom I took a quick shower. The moment I was drying my hair my phone started to ring. I walked straight in my bedroom to answer the phone.

“Hi with Lisa"

“Hi Lisa it’s me Lola. I hope I didn’t disturb you?"

“Oh Lola how are you? You never disturbing me ".

“I’m okay I think but I actually don’t know how I feel right now” "Lola can I come over so we can maybe talk about it"

“Mmmhh yeah maybe it’s better than talking over the phone. Can you come in a hour of so?”

“ I will be right there see you soon"

“Thank you. See you soon.”

She hung up her phone. I went straight to my bathroom to finish of my hair. After I was done I walked straight downstairs. Suprisely I saw my brother sitting on the dining table while my mom was busy baking pancakes. “Good morning Lisa you are wright on time I just finished with baking you and Jake’s favourite pancakes” she said with a big smile on her face .You could see that she was so happy because Jake was home. I walked over to table my brother looked really like mess but before I took a seat I hugged my mother saying “Thank you mom “. We ate all in silence because neither me of Jake where really in the mood to talk. Mom tried a few times to start the conversation but every time it ended in a short answer. After we were done eating mom cleared the table and I helped her. “Euh mom I have to go I did meet up with Lola. Sorry I can’t stay longer.” I said to her. “Say hi to here from me and if you see aunt Steph ask her when she has time to call me “. My mother replied. “I will I sent you a message the moment I come home”. I said to her. “Have fun” she said while she pulled me in hug. After hugging my mom I walked to leave but the moment I passed Jake he took my wrist. “Do you go to Lola?” “Yeah why? While I pulled myself out of his grip. “How is she? “He asked me with a worried tone in his voice. “I don’t know honestly she sounded a little bit of” I replied him. He moved his hands to rub them up and down on his face he looked very worried. I moved foreword to take my keys to leave he didn’t move or say a thing. I left without saying anything to him anymore. I don’t know what is bothering him but it is for sure that is of something that happened between him and Lola and me going to find out what.
