chapter 12

POV Lolita

The sound of my alarm echoed through my room. I quickly let the thing shut up with a little groan I sat myself straight in the the bed leaning against the headboard. I slept really bad this night I hope it will be better tomorrow or it wil be a hell of a week. I grabbed my phone to look if Jake had replied my message. Oh crap I had like five messages.

I had one of Lisa asking how I'm doing the other two where from dad and Stephanie to ask if everything is alright and wishing me luck for my first game .

I replied these back before I opened the other two.

The one message came from a unknown person.

Hi Lola

How are you doing?

Can we meet up soon ?

Johnny

uuh how come he on my phone number wait I gonna ask.

Hi Johnny

I'm doing fine thanks for asking

How are you?

How did you get my number if I may ask?

Lola

Now down to my last message.

Hi sunshine

Don't be sorry for your late message I totally understand that you can not reply straight away.

I'm fine busy with work

Good luck for tonight sunshine

With a big smile I put my phone away I went straight to my bathroom to shower myself. After I dried myself I put the national team training on. Making myself a protein shake. The moment I just finished cleaning up my mess I got a message from Elena.

I'm here

I quickly grabbed my stuff and locked of the place before heading down. I stept straight away in the car before she took of heading to the airport.

"Good morning Elena "

" Hi Lola ready for tonight?"

"Yeah just I hope that I sleep a little bit better this night ".

" Nothing is so hate full then not having a good night of sleep, luckily you can try to sleep during the two hour flight ".

" I really hope that my body allows me the little sleep at the plane ".

A little bit later we arrived on the parking lot of the airport. Both taking our stuff straight walking to the airport. We saw our coach and the others waiting in the hall apparently we where the last person's to arrive. We went straight to the check-in we had time left before we had to board our plane to eat with everyone a light breakfast. After boarding I tried to position myself comfortably and placing my airpods in to listen to my favourite music. I know this will relax myself really well during the flight hoping that I could sleep a little. Before I knew Elena said " Hi sleeping beauty we are in Milan ".

I positioned myself straight trying to get the sleepiness of me.

still blinking with my eyes Elena motioned me to get up and start to move out of the plane. We went straight from the plane to a bus that brought us to the hotel. We arrived at our hotel the moment we entered the building our coach gived us our key cards for our rooms . Me and Elena are on the same room.

" So lady's put your bags away and meet me down stairs to eat our lunch " our couch said.

After we placed our stuff in our rooms we headed down to the dining area to sit al together to eat.

" So Lola I heard from Elena that you did meet this hottie back home" Sabrina said.

I glared to Elena before saying to Sabrina " He looks nice but there is nothing between us" hoping they stop the topic.

" If you say so but I don't believe it " Elena said with a big grin on her face.

" Just stop it's not because I have a male friend that we are lovers" I said.

I started to eat while looking at my food hoping nobody else would start this topic again.

In the three hours before we had to leave to the arena. We catched up with each other we had so much to tell each other. After the three hours we went downstairs straight to our bus . After a 30 minute drive we arrived at the arena before we stept out. We saw already a bunch of photographers waiting for us trying to get a photo from us before we went inside.

We headed out straight from the bus to the changing room in the arena. We changed ourselves in our soccer clothes before we went to the warm up field. After a little hour of warming up we went back inside to have a pep talk of our coach. The moment was their to go on the field I felt my adrenaline pumping through my veins. It's always so mind blowing to walk on the big field with al the noises of the supporters.

The first half we had it hard to keep our defence on but non of us was possible to make a goal. The second half was much better we finally got through their defences and I found the opportunity to break myself free to run straight to the goal and score . Al my teammates running to me to share my enthusiastic state. Now we had to keep our defence but before we knew the whistle went of telling us the game has ended . We all walked in the changing room with a good mood or coach congratuled us before we headed to the showers. After the shower we pulled again or trainings on to leave with the bus to the hotel during the trip we had a little party in the bus . I was so tired the moment we arrived at the hotel that I was glad that I could go to our room to get some sleep.

The rest of the two weeks past almost the same. After Berlin we did had two other games one in Manchester the other in Paris . We didn't lose one game I had the chance to score three times of the six goals we made in total. Johnny sended me a few messages during the trip apertly Lisa did give my phone number. His last question was of I and Lisa would love to come to a party he organising next week, I replied that I would think about it. My dad phoned me a few times asking if everything was alright with me and congratulate me for the good games I played telling me that he is really proud on me.

Jake I heard maybe two a three times a week . Strangely I felt a little disappointed that he didn't sended me that much and his sister I heard every day sometimes driving me crazy.

Today was the last day before I travelled back home. I packed my stuff in my suitcases just leaving the clothes that I would wear tomorrow morning. After catching up with Elena to do a little shopping I went to my grandad.

"Hi Bonita I did miss you "

"Sorry grandad you know I was only here a short period of time for the competions " I said.

We walked outside to his terrace to sit outside talking about how my life is in America and if my dad and Oscar can adjust on their new life. Before we knew it was time to say goodbye.

"Promise me bonita that you come back as soon as possible to come visit your old grandad " he said.

" I will " I promised him

" I will miss you what would I do without my favorite abuelo .

We hugged each other goodbye.

Taking the cab back to the apartment.

I dragged myself upstairs to the apartment opening the door walking straight to the bathroom brushing my teeth putting on my pj's and heading to my bed .

I quickly set my alarm and before I knew I drifted back a sleep these two weeks drained my energy knowing the moment I come back two days after I have a new game at home based luckily.
