Chapter 4

In the shower Ella stands under the hot water with her eyes wide open. As she closes them she sees the image of the burning Lady and quickly opens her eyes.

She stands for a few minutes and turns the shower off, reaches for her towel and clears the steam off the mirror and sees the lady burning again. She gets scared and closes her eyes only for a split second and opens them again to see it was nothing.

She gets dressed and goes down for breakfast. As she descends the stairs she sees everyone at the table having breakfast. She takes her sit and looks at everyone’s questioning eyes and she says am fine please just carry on with your breakfast.

Lex takes his sit next to her feet after finishing his breakfast as usual.

When are you going back to the campus enquirers Mr. Eugen?

Mrs. Delia throwing him the look what the hell.

In an hour I will leave and get to campus it’s the last exams for the final year so I will not be able to come back frequently as we sit for the exams in three weeks.

Good I know you will give your best and pass and you will become an archaeologist says Mr. Eugen.

She smiles a faint smile and says I hope so still a bit shook from the events.

After breakfast the girls help to tidy up the table with their mother and Mrs. Louka. Then Ella makes way up to her room to pack a few things and hit the road.

Chloe and Zoe join Ella in her room and ask her what exactly happened?

Ella explains all that she saw outside the club and what she dreamt about as her sisters listen in attentively.

Yeah and that’s about it. But you know the strangest thing in the dream was that as the lady was burning I felt her pain and I could feel the flames burning my skin like it was all very real and happening to me.

I really do not know what to make of it. I am getting goose bumps even as we speak of it.

Chloe I think it’s just a dream and do not stress yourself over it. It will be fine.

Zoe says I think Chloe is right do not read too much into it. Just relax and pay attention to your exams. A MBA in Archaeology from the university will do you good. As it is you like digging the past so if the dream reoccurs again you can start digging and she lets out a laugh.

Chloe and Ella look at her and Zoe says relax its meant as a joke to lighten your mood.

Chloe asks Ella if Abagail is driving down to the University with her.

She says she spoke to her this morning and she will be going with her brother Alex.

Alex and Abagail White are twins. They have all been together since Kindergarten but Ella and Abagail are close.

He has become so cute says Zoe.

True that says Chloe.

Ella asks Chloe when she will be leaving for the summer tour?

Chloe says day after tomorrow.

Ella looks at Zoe and asks her you?

Zoe says back to high school life next week. Ahhhhhhhh

Chloe and Ella look at each other and let out a laugh.

Mr. Eugene, Mrs Delia and Mrs. Loukas hear the girls laughing upstairs and seem a bit relived.

That’s a good sign then says Mrs. Loukas.

Her masters nod in agreement but half-heartedly.

I wish it could last forever signs Mrs. Delia.

Mrs. Loukas who knows all too well pats her on the back and gives her the hope that all will be well.

Generations of Mrs. Loukas’s families have been part of the Sideris’s family.

She reminds Mrs. Delia not to forget that the Pendant is no ordinary Pendant but a very powerful Talisman that can protect Ella no matter what and that its power should have started getting one with Ella the moment she wore it.

Yes, says Mrs. Delia I know and that’s a bit of a relief but what to do of a mother’s heart?

Mrs. Loukas gives her a hug and tell her I Know.

As Ella comes down the steps with her luggage they both look at her and smile.

Mrs. Loukas gives her a few snacks for the road and a few to keep in her room. Ella thanks her for always being considerate and caring.

Where are the other two asks Mrs. Delia?

They will be down in a few Says Ella.

So all packed asks Mr. Eugen?

Yes, says Ella and ready to move.

Good says Mr. Eugen.

Chloe and Zoe come down the stairs.

They all walk towards the door and Mr. Eugen puts all the luggage in the boot of the car and Ella’s laptop on the back seat together with the snacks.

Ella bids everyone farewell, sits in the car and drives off.

Chloe and Zoe go back into the house and upstairs.

Everyone goes back inside the house as Mrs. Delia looks on and then Mr. Eugen puts his arm around her shoulders and walks towards the house with her.
