The Dragon King and His Human Mate

The legend says, over one hundred years ago there was a dragon shifter king named Vladimir. He was the most powerful king the dragons' kingdom has ever had. There were no one in the supernatural world who hadn't heard of him, who didn't fear him and respect him in equal measures. His people felt blessed to have Vladimir as a king, he had brought the kind of peace and happiness in his territories that no one had ever been able to. But he didn't have a queen, and regardless of other kingdoms' offers for political marriages he had decided to wait for his mate, no matter how long it would take. And he actually found her, in the witches' kingdom. She was only a simple village girl, but he loved her at first sight, everything he now wanted was her. However, for his biggest surprise, one day, she just didn't want him anymore. She didn't want to be his Queen. As everyone knows, King Vladimir killed her, not knowing that her grandmother was the most powerful witch in the supernatural world. The old woman cursed the Dragon King by putting a spell on him and forcing him to live his life in his dragon form. He could shift in his human form for only one hour every day, exactly before sunrise. This would only remind him that he had another day to live as a monster. But this wasn't enough of a punishment for the Witch. She imprisoned him in a desert island, put a barrier on him so he could never escape, never have the chance to live a happy life after what he did to her precious granddaughter. However, like every other spell, this one had a loophole too. The Dragon King could be saved only if another mate would love him and accept him for who he was.  But how could he find his second chance mate not being able to escape from the island? And most importantly, who would fall in love with a madman that has killed his own true mate?
