Gon's POV I took one last glanced of my aunt's house reminiscing all the memories we had together when she was still alive. I gathered the courage to turn my back and sighed "I'll visit sometimes aunt, till we meet again"-I bid and got into the taxi to catch my flight to tokyo. I couldn't sleep a wink because of the mixed emotions I was having. I was both nervous and excited to finally meet my dad after 10 years. After aunt died, I called him to inform him about it. And then he told me to live with him. 2 hours later We've finally arrived. I walked my way down the plane and walked inside the huge building. After a few more walks I saw a familiar man with the same broad shoulder but kinda wrinkled facial features than before. I smiled widely and ran towards him "Dad!"-I jumped wanting to hug him but I held myself back thinking he wouldn't find it pleasing. He only looked as cold as ever, smiled a little and patted my head. He quietly took my bag and let me follow him to the car. As I was looking out the car window, many attractions took my attention away. I honestly forgot how tokyo looked when I was still here. I looked at my dad but he was seriously driving so I sat back and kept my silence. after a few more minutes of dead silence. Dad suddenly stopped the car in front of a yellow house. Its not big but its not small either. We both got out of the car and walked inside. I heard the sound of a baby crying and aunt Zelda, My stepmom comforting her. When we entered the living room there, I saw Xian, my stepbrother whos a year younger than me, watching TV. He quickly ran towards dad and hugged him, and dad hugged him in return. I wont lie, I felt my chest tighten probably because of the jealousy. "Xian, This is Gon, he's your big brother I told you about"-Dad started to introduce. I smiled cheerfully as to how I always react. "Hi, I'm Gon, Nice to meet you Xian"-I greeted with my hands asking for a shake. He ignored me and called his mother out. "Mom! dads here!"-He called and Aunt Zelda went out of their room carrying Vaal, my one year old stepsister. "Oh, hey there Gon, Welcome. I prepared something for you for dinner"-She greeted and smiled so I smiled back. I never really got to see or know my mom, she died when I was 8 months old. Father never knew about Xian's existence till 10 years ago. Thats when he decided to make me live with my aunt. "thankyou maam"-I just answered "Stop with the formalities, please call me Mom, and Xian, please show Gon hes room"- Xian then glared and turned his back and started walking through the stairs. I followed him and ended up on the farthest room. "Here it is"-He said and opened the door. "Thanks--"-I said But he left hurriedly looking angry. I put my things away and let my body fell on the bed. thinking.. 'Now this is my life, please let it go well, mom' I stood up and looked out of the window. Then after a few minutes I decided to take a bath after realizing I haven't washed up yet. After bath I wore my white shirt and green shorts. Cleaned the bed and walked downstairs to help prepare dinner. I got in the kitchen and saw aunt Zelda cutting some cakes. "Can I help?"-I asked. "Oh, Gon? You were awake,I thought you were sleeping"-She smiled and continued slicing "I couldn't, I wanted to help prepare dinner"-I added with a smile "Sure, Go get the table ready, I'll be finished in a minute"-So I did as she said and prepare the plates and utensils in the table. While we were eating the cheerful sound of Vaal's laughter filled the room while aunt Zelda was feeding her. I couldn't take my eyes off Vaal as she really resembles aunt Zelda. I realized aunt Zelda noticed me staring and smiled at me so I bowed my head looking at the floor. "So, Gon, have you visit her?"-Aunt Zelda I froze for a bit the gathered up my courage. I was really gonna ask dad for permission about visiting moms grave.. "I haven't yet"-I answered and looked at dad he noticed me looking and he then stopped eating. "We'll go there tomorrow, on our way to the academy"-Dad. I smiled widely about us visiting mom and also got curious. "Academy?"-I asked "Yes, have I not told you about it yet?"-Dad I never thought he would let me go to school again though. he never really cared about me that much either, So I assumed he wouldnt let me go to school anymore. "S-So, I'm going to college?"-I gasped "Of course Gon, we've already discussed about it. You can help out every weekend in the flower shop up front for you allowance"-Aunt Zelda happily added "Wow, Thankyou, thankyou so much"-I repeatedly said because I'd know aunt and mom would be so happy when they find out I'll continue studying. After dinner I went to my room and couldn't even sleep a wink. I just lay there thinking about what could happen,until I just noticed the sun bleaming in through the window and meeting my eyes. I stood up and walked to the window and opened it to greet the brand new day that awaits me. I took a bath first thing and wore white polo shirt and got down to prepare breakfast. But, it seems someone was earlier than me. Xian was already finished cooking and was already dressed up. "Xian, Goodmorning"-I greeted him "Morning"-He answered coldly but I smiled since now he can answer me. "Do you have class today?"-I asked again He just quietly stared at me and walked to the kitchen counter to get some plates. "Gon, Goodmorning"-Aunt Zelda "Goodmorning"-I greeted back "Xian, also goes to the academy Gon"-She stated. I see, thats why he couldn't answer me earlier he's probably not comfortable with me around. After we finished eating. Xian, Dad and I drove to the Cemetery near the park of their home. and Dad also said that the academy was a 10 minute walking distance. The three of us walked to my moms tombstone where I can see her name. and some dried off flowers. I took the flowers in my bag that I've been keeping from the Island. "Here you go mom,Aunt told me this was your favorite. They still grow a lot at the back of our house there"-I laughed. I held here tombstone and felt the cold stone which was to be expected. "Bye mom, see you later"-I bid and with that a wild wind sorounded me with warmth On our way to the academy, we passed through a group of gangsters. Seems like just my age. "Are those gangsters?"-I asked looking at dad and Xian, but Xian just listened to his airpods "Yes, It's better to stay away from them. And dont ever get in trouble Gon"-Dad I dont know but I felt a little happy knowing that my father is worried for me. "I wont, I promise"-I stated without receiving an answer. after a few minutes we arrived at the academy. Students all over the place. The school was 5 times bigger than my old school. "Then, I'll be going this way dad"-Xian bid and Dad just nodded. Dad and I continued to walk to the principals office. "Goodmorning principal Cho."-Dad greeted so I bowed at the principal. "Goodmorning Mr. Vien, this must be Gon?"-He asked and shaked my hand. "I'll take care of him, I heard you got a promotion"-principal Cho. talked to Dad while I sat near his table. a few minutes later Dad said he was gonna go to work and that the principal would escort me to my room. I followed the principal to the room I was getting into. "I read about you enrollment form and the only available room for that is here"-He said disappointedly as if stating that the room wasn't good. "Thats okay, Thank you so much for everything Mr. principal"-And I bowed "No- I mean-- its uhh-- well you'll get it when you see it"-He seemed nervous "This room is where the students are called delinquents due to their rather strange attitudes, but if you ever have any problem, tell me immediately"-He again said and opened the door. timingly, the teacher seemed to be crying and ran out of the room while most of the boys in the room were laughing. They suddenly quieted when the principal went inside. "Sigh* early morning and this us what you rascals do"-Principal Cho. "Oh, wont you look at that. the good ol' principal paid us a visit eh?"-Someone with a husky voice said. the principal ignored him and signaled me to enter. I slowly walked and gazed at everyone inside. Looks as if there were a lot absent, girls applying make up. and a boy with his feet on top of his desk "This is Gon Vien, he's newly transfered, and I'm assigning him here for the meantime. but as soon as I see another room available for him I'll change his room. So if you please be good to him"-Principal said and gave me a chair at the front. After I sat the principal started teaching us so I was a bit shock "Wait? the principal is teaching us?"-I whispered but the girl on my left heard me so she answered "Its mostly when our classmates misbehave, only the principal can handle our class you see"-She said and smiled so I smiled back. The class didn't go on as I expected it would since my expectations were that it would go berserk after a few minutes but no. The principal continued to lecture us and left after the class. I looked at the schedule and our next subject was supposed to be Literature. I sat neatly waiting for our professor to come, but sadly noone came and only the noises of my classmates surrounded the room. I looked over at the girl in my left but she's not there anymore. she's now talking to another girl at the back . "Hey"-I heard someone called so I looked at him "Yes?"-I answered "You're Gon?"-He asked again I nodded and answered "yes" He was handsome with the palest white hair and quite big eyes, his white uniform was contemplating with his pale white skin. I noticed how our classmates turned silent as he talked to me "I'm Killua"-He stated It felt weird as to someone who was sleeping earlier on class is introducing to me now "Hi Killua, nice to meet you"-I answered and shaked his hands. He looked shocked and couldn't believe by what I said, but I don't understand why. "Are you deaf? "-He again asked that left me shocked. "I said I'm Killua"-He stated again, and its really getting me confused "I heard you, Your Killua, did you need anything?"-I asked making sure I said his name loudly. His brows wrinkled as if couldn't believe what I just said. Then the bell rang so I stood up to go to the cafeteria. I felt his hands grabbed my collar and he glared at me with our faces only an inch away. "Are you kidding me?!"-He angrily asked I felt scared and confused. Is he gonna punch me? "What's happening here"-someone suddenly showed up "Its Kurapika, the students council president"-I Heard my classmates whispered Killua then took his hands off me. and I coughed a little. "You again Killua. Go to the desciplinary room. Now!"-Kurapika ordered him. And he left without a word. "Hi, I'm Kurapika. The student council president, I heard your a transferee. my apologies for you having to encounter something like that"-Kurapika I shooked my head showing him I didnt mind. "I'm Gon, Nice to meet kurapika. Is he always like that?" "Like what?"-He asked "You know, introducing himself ,then grabbing someone on the collar and getting mad"-I stated "Ohh, umh I'm not sure, he's not normally like that, but I'll make sure to give him a proper lesson "-And he smiled and left. I left to buy something for recess and turns out my classmates we're avoiding me, I don't even know why. After recess the class continued without Killua. Our professor was a man and it was okay, not until the boys started to go wild and noisy in the classroom. The prof only sat at the corner and slept. All the classes ended without Killua in sight. Was he still in disciplinary room? I cant help but worry, was it because of me? After class, I helped with cleaning the room before going home. since Dad said he'll be home late. Xian and I would have to walk home. But when I was about to approach Xian, he walked pass me and walked with his friends. "Did you know him?"-I heard his friends asked without looking at them. "No"-He coldly answered Walking alone, I tried to remember the road from where dad drove earlier. "I'm pretty sure it was this way"-I murmured. I suddenly felt gaze. I turned around but there was noone behind me "Must be my imagination"-I told myself. but just as I turned to the front. a group of gangsters were in front of me . I backed down and was ready to run. "Who do we have here"- A voice behind me spoke I couldn't move a muscle. they were carrying baseball bats and weapons I didnt know of. "Hurry! Look for his I.D"- was the last thing I've heard while trying to keep myself awake after what happened. few hours later I awoke from the voices around me I saw dad talking to the doctor "Dad?"-I whispered. Confused of what had happened. He rushed to me and looked at me "Gon, are you alright?"-He asked while caressing my hands . "What happened?"-I asked. "You dont remember? You were beaten up"-Dad Now I remember, I was gonna pass through those gangsters but they wouldnt let me. even if they took all my money, the still beat me up. I can still remember the pain they've caused me. Even if they're the same age as mine. how could they do that to me? Guess I really am weak. the next day, I had to skip classes because of my aching body. but Dad said he talked to the police and they're already on the move for the gangsters. not that it could bring back the time. I help aunt Zelda with some of the chores while I was at home. and then I was fully recovered. Dad assured that he sends us to school back and forth. "Thanks dad"-We bid and went into class I saw my classmate's worried expression so I smiled. "Are you alright? we heard about what happened"-The girl in my left asked "Yes, I'm fine"-I smiled and realized Killua wasn't in the classroom. Did he skip? or is he in the desciplinary room again? Everything cleared up when we all saw Killua at recess, all messed up. Seemed like he got into another fight. well, I dont wanna be involved in any fights. so goodluck to him He passed through me while going to the nurses office. he kept looking in my eyes as he did, I couldn't help but notice how familiar he is and his hair. "Have I seen him before?" hmm guess not. even if I did, that would be a lot of years ago. I wont even be able to tell if I'm sure I knew him. At our last subject. The teacher sent us some group work to be done by the week. "There will be one topic for two groups but it will be graded by group. So goodluck. Group leaders, choose your topic"- In the end Our Group-Julius,Marji,and me Got the same topic as Killua, Jass,and Poer. The topic is about 'Life at Beach' "Cool, We can stay at the seaside beach for our topic, who's in?"-Julius suggested. Everyone decided on going except Poer who said he's gonna come every day but cant stay till night because he has a job. "This weekend then"-Marji repeated and waved everyone goodbye. I soon cleaned my desk and headed out the room when Killua suddenly appeared blocking my way. "Killua"-I said. he looked at me from head to toe. "Is something wrong?"- I asked pertaining to how his acting He just turned his back and left. That night, I asked for dad and aunt Zelda's permission to be out for the weekend "Sure, You go have some fun"-Aunt Zelda answered . I turned to dad and watched him drink his tea. "Just make sure to stay out of trouble. If ever call me or Zelda"- I smiled and thanked them after that, I washed the dishes before heading to bed. "Hey Gon"-Aunt Zelda called while I was washing dishes in the kitchen "Yes?"-I answered. "I forgot to tell you, I've already talked to the owner of the flower shop. She said you can start any day you'd like" "Really? Thanks Aunt Zelda" I bowed and watched her enter the living room. she just mouthed 'no problem' I'm actually wondering if this is the feeling to have a mother? feels nice. The next morning I couldn't sleep a wink thanks for my excitement. I packed a bag of clothes and necessary needs. Dad volunteered to send me to the train station where we were gonna meet up. "Hey Gon"-I saw Marji waving so I waved back "Thanks Dad, I'll be going now"-I smiled He smiled back. that left me shocked. he tapped me in the heard before getting back into the car. "Take care Gon"-he said the drove away. I'm very sure everything is gonna be great this weekend. I cant even stop smiling from ear to ear.
