THEY SPENT THAT afternoon glued to Claire’s computer, watching updates on both national and international news about the attack on Port Aransas. By the evening, now two days after the fighting, there were increasingly loud calls for more border security and wild claims about the origins of the attack. Some news broadcasts took wild guesses with eyewitness accounts of encounters with the men in locations all over the country.
