2024 is when The Great War started. Russia, China, and parts of Europe formed an alliance while America, Canada, Mexico and parts of Africa came together to fight back. The two fought for year destroying the Earth in the process, over population was starting to reach the tipping point since the war destroyed half of Earths resources. The two side eventually put aside their differences and worked together to try and save Earth but the damage they caused was to great. A group of scientists came up with an idea to build a space station, a temporary home for some of the population. While the remaining stayed on Earth to try and reverse the damage, 2029 The Nautilus space station was built. 150,000 people were able to go on the station, first it was world leaders, top scientists, and geniuses that got to go up first. Then agriculture people, engineers, architects, and rich people. Basically the useful, powerful, and rich people where able to go to the space station. A few volunteer scientists stayed behind to try and help fix Earth, but unfortunately Earth was too far gone. Reports say some animals mutated from radiation that was coming off the weapon from the war, cause some human to mutant. Reports of some people going crazy and eating people alive, people using some of the weapons left over from the war pushing Earth to it breaking point. Eventually reports stopped, it was assumed everyone died off due to the radiation or killing each other. A thick grey smoke covered Earths atmosphere, all hope of going home died down until 75 years later. Beep… Beep…Beep Logan took a deep sigh, he pulled back the covers and sat up on his bed. Beep…Beep…Beep Logan press the button, “Yes what is it?” “Sorry sir but one of our observers think they saw something last night. The General wants you to come and take a look, he thinks it’s nothing but the Leaders want it checked out.” Logan sighs again shaking his head, rubbing his eyes “Yea give me 15 minutes.” Logan stood up and walked to his window, the pixels were of the rainforest. Even though Logan was born on The Nautilus and have never seen an actual forest he loved it. All the windows on The Nautilus were pixelated images of Earth before the war, helped making living in space easier. Logan walked in the shower, he jumped a little. “Cold water, again.” Logan was 21 years old and one of the smartest people on The Nautilus, luckily for him his grandfather was a Five Star General. So his family was able to live on the station, Logan’s father followed and took the rank of Five Star General. Logan’s father wanted him to follow in his footsteps like he did but Logan didn’t want to join the army even though he was perfect at it. Logan was an incredible Expert Shooter and hand to hand combat, he was on his way to Five Star General when he got himself kicked out. He turned to science, what he really liked. Logan walked out of the shower and dried himself off, he tied the towel around his waist. Logan was a very attractive young man, very well defined muscles, black hair that flipped in the front, tan skin, perfect teeth and crystal blue eyes. He brushed his teeth and brushed his hair, he quickly got dressed. Black thermal shirt, blue jeans and black combat boots. The door to his room jammed halfway though, Logan banged on the key pad and it opened the rest of the way. The Nautilus was running on fumes, it was supposed to last for 125 years but the survivors bred over the years causing an over population on the station. That’s when the Leaders, the world leaders from around the world, made the toughest decisions. 1. Each family was only allowed to have one child 2. If the child has any physical and/or mental defects is terminated 3. If the woman is carrying more then one child (twins or more) whichever one was born first lives. Others will be terminated. 4. After the child is born, the woman is made sterile, to ensure she has no more children. 5. Anyone who develops any disease, cancer, or becomes too lame to work gets terminated They also made the decision if anyone commits a crime that’s higher then petty theft gets Vacuumed, vacuumed into space. Logan walks down the corridors nodding at everyone he walks by, when a playful tug on the back of his shirt stops him. “Hey handsome where you rushing too?” Logan turns around to see Angel, his girlfriend. She was beautiful, long wavy blond hair, full red lips, hazel eyes, and a body to die for. Logan smiled and gave her a kiss, “ An observer I guess thinks he saw something and they want me to check it out, it was probably just another storm on Earth or something. It shouldn’t be to long, save me some breakfast. Love you!” Logan walked down the hall. “Love you too!” Angel yelled back walking to the mess hall. Logan made it to the observation deck, there was a giant window looking down on Earth that is cover in a thick grey smoke. The smoke was so thick you can’t see Earths surface, making it impossible to tell if Earth is habitable. Everyone turned to Logan and saluted him, Logan saluted back. “So what did you find that was so important?” Logan asked walking up to the window looking down on the grey circle. “Um Well I was on my shift and was just watching the Earths orbit when I saw this.” The observer handed Logan a tablet with a picture of Earth, Logan was about to throw the tablet back when he saw it. “Is that?” Logan looked closer, zoomed in on one part of the image. There was a break in the grey showing what looked to be a green forest, Logan covered his mouth and chuckled. “Did you show my father or The Leaders?” The observer shook his head, “Your father said to have you look at it first before we waste their time, they were busy trying to fix the power issue.” “You know what this means?” Logan asked pointing at the green spot. The observer shrugged. Logan shook his head, “This means Earth could be habitable, that means we all can go home.” Whisper filled the room, Logan took the tablet and went to find his father and The Leaders. He left the observation deck and ran to The Meeting Hall, only certain military and the World Leaders where aloud in the Meeting Hall. Logan ran passed the guards through the sliding doors, The Leaders stopped in mid sentence looking at Logan’s father. “Miles what is the meaning of this?” Said the Russian Leader. “I apologize, Logan your not aloud in here what are you doing?” Miles said to his son with a concerned look. “I’m sorry to barge in like this but I have very important news. An observer caught this last night,” Logan turned the tablet to his father and The Leaders, they shrugged. Logan zoomed in on the green spot, “I strongly believe that’s a forest, meaning plants are still growing on Earth. Earth maybe still habitable.” The Russian Leader grabbed the tablet and looked closer, “How can you be sure? For all we know it could be a reflection of The Nautilus.” The American Leader took the tablet out of the Russians hands, “I don’t know that looks like trees there, and how can it be a reflection of The Nautilus? The Nautilus isn’t green it’s black you dumb ass.” The Russian jumped up from his seat and yelled in Russian, the American laughed. The Leader from England took the tablet and looked at it closely with her glasses, “It does seem to look tree like, but it’s not a clear enough image. It’s not enough to move 300,000 people and risk it being a fluke.” Logan took the tablet back, “What about a small group?” The Leaders and his father looked at him confused. “What if I took a small group down there and see if Earth is habitable. A handful of scientists and military, give us a few days to explore. We’ll radio back everything we find and if it’s not habitable we’ll come back up. But if Earth is habitable, we can finally go home.” All the World Leaders looked at each other, “Let’s call a vote then,” Miles jumped up interrupting the England Leader, “No, my son is not going down there. It’s to risky.” “Dad The Nautilus is on its last leg, literally running on fumes. If I don’t do this we’ll all be dead anyway, at-lease this will give us a chance.” Logan put his hand on his fathers shoulder. “All infavor,” Everyone but Russia, China, and Africa rose their hands. “We’ll it’s unanimous, Logan we The Leaders grant your request to send yourself and a small group of 50 to Earth. You are to send us everything you find, you have 3 days to get a team together and get everything you need together.” Said The England Leader. Logan sighed with relief, “Thank you.” Logan left the room, “Son!” Logan turned around to see his father furious, “What the f**k was that? Your going to risk your life and 50 others on an unclear image?” Logan stood up tall and looked his father in the eye, “Dad, The Nautilus is dying. We have maybe another year or two, we have to try. It’s to much of a chance to pass up on. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to put a team together.” Logan went to turn, “Let me at-lease put together you military team, I’ll give you the best of the best. It will make me feel better knowing you have them with you if anything happens.” Miles looked at his son with worry. Logan looked at his father and nodded, then walked down the hall. “Yo Logan where’ve you been man!” Logan turns to see his best friend Connor, he was black with a buzz cut, very muscular and handsome. “Hey we think there maybe a chance to return to Earth look.” Logan showed Connor the image. “You mean there’s a chance there’s still vegetation on Earth?! Dude do you know what this means?!” Logan nodded, “We can finally go home, The Leaders just granted me permission to assemble a team to go down and explore. I need you, no one know more about Earth plants then you do.” Connor smile, “Hell yea, there’s no way I’m letting you go to Earth without me.” Logan chuckled, “We have 3 days, get together everything you need and 5 people willing to go. We’re going to need a few people who know about Earth plants.” Connor nodded and took off running. Logan continued down the hall back to his Quarters, he went though the tablet picking the scientists he need for his mission. *Knock* *Knock* His door opened to see Angel. “Hey where were you? I waited for an hour.” “s**t I’m sorry babe I forgot but you’ll never believe it. Look!” He showed her the image, her eyes widened. “Is that what I think it is?!” Logan smiled big and nodded, “And I get to lead a small team down to explore Earth to see if it’s habitable.” Angel gasped and hugged Logan around his neck, “You have to let me go, I have to see.” She said smiling. “No you need to wait till it’s clear, we have no idea what is done there or if it is habitable. I can’t risk anything happening to you. Besides I need you up here taking my place while I’m gone.” Angel pouted, “How long?” Logan shrugged “I won’t know till I’m on the ground, but I will tell you this I won’t rest till I find out. We both know The Nautilus is on its last leg, we can’t wait any longer.” Angel smiled “It’s a sign from God.” Logan scoffed, “Yea whatever you say babe, I have 3 days to put a team and get things together so I got some work to do.” Logan sat down in his chair and started going though some names writing down who he wanted. Angel pulled his chair and straddled his lap, “We’ll if you only have 3 days left and you make a little time for me before you go?” She leans forward and playfully nipped at his ear, her perfume smelt of roses and honey. It was intoxicating, Logan slide his hand up the back of her shirt and kissed her neck, she let out a little moan. Her skin was like silk, so smooth and flawless. He picked her up and laid her on the bed taking off her clothes, she was perfect. Kicking off his pants, he positioned himself between her legs, slowly entering her. She let out an airy gasp, she was tight and wet. Moving faster and faster they both climaxed at the same time, Angel tried to pull him to lay with her but he got off the bed instead. “I’m sorry babe as much as I would love to cuddle I have to finish getting this team together and make sure I have every supply I need.” He got dressed and kissed her forehead. “Ok, we’ll you want me to bring you some lunch since you missed breakfast?” She said sliding her skinny jeans back on. Logan smiled and nodded, Angel left to go get lunch. Logan sat down at his desk and finish putting together his team, he doubled check who he was bring. His dad sent him a left of who he choose as his military personnel, his father sent him the top troops. Angel came back with lunch, Logan took a break and sat with Angel to eat. They talked about what Logan might find on Earth, things they read in book.
