It’s been 3 day since the missing soldiers were found, the camp as been on high alert. No one left the camp but the hunting group but since the soldiers were found there has been no animals in the area. Everyone started to notice the weather was starting to get a little colder, A few of the scientists think the fall season was starting.
Logan was getting worried, they were not ready for the rest of The Nautilus to come down and did know how to prepare for the colder weather coming. Let alone the threat from the mutants, they carved on one of the soldiers ‘LEAVE’.
Kyle thinks it was the group they ran into at the supply drop but Logan didn’t think so.
“No cause they would have killed us right then and there, there must be more survivors. Hostile survivors.”
Logan said crossing his arms.
“Then what do we do, they could attack us at anytime. We’re not safe here, we have to leave.”
Said Amy.
“And go where? We have no idea what or who is out there, we don’t know how far the radiation siren sounds for. We’ll have to have a place first before we just up and pack everyone, we also have to make sure it’s safe for the others as well.”
Said Connor standing next to Logan.
“Then what do we do then?”
Amy said putting her hand on her hip.
Logan thought about it,
“We ask the people who took some of our supplies for help.”
Everyone even Connor looked at him with disbelief,
“Excuse me? What did you say? They took our supplies and killed one of our strongest soldiers like he was a toothpick. What makes you think they’ll help us?”
Kari said shaking her head.
“Yea man, what are you saying. We don’t even know if their mutants or not and they did take our supplies.”
Connor said.
“Like I said if they wanted to kill us all they would have but didn’t, they only killed Wyatt because he wanted to fight. If we go to them in peace and maybe strike a deal they’ll help us. The only supplies they took were medical, clearly they are in desperate need of it and we can get more. What other choice do we got?”
Logan said shrugging.
“Ok but where are these people? We don’t even know where they are, we’ll be dead before we find them.”
Said Rick.
“We radio The Nautilus for another drop, we’ll get medical supplies and when they come for it we’ll be waiting for them. Then we’ll offer them our deal.”
Logan said.
“And if they refuse?”
Amy said with attitude.
Logan looked at her,
“Let’s hope they don’t.”
Logan went to the radio,
“Ground to Nautilus.”
Nothing.
“Hello Ground to Nautilus, come in Nautilus.”
Still nothing.
Logan started to worry.
“Logan?”
Logan could help but feel surprised to hear his dads voice.
“Dad? Where have you been? Are you alright? I heard you got hurt.”
“I’m fine, a little mob ain’t going to take me out. But it has been chaos up here.”
Logan cleared his throat,
“I know, we just have to make sure that… it’s safe for when you guys come down.”
“Well hope you guys figure it out soon, it getting more and more dangerous up here by the minute.”
“Yea I have a plan, as soon as this plan is set in motion you’ll be able to come down.”
There was some silents,
“Ok, what do you need me to do?”
“We need medical supplies, a bit of everything whatever you can spare and as soon as you can send it down.”
“Done, I’ll send it down with in a few hours.”
“Thanks dad.”
“Just be careful Logan.”
“You too dad.”
Logan walked around the camp, he found Connor and the other and told them the medical supplies will be dropping in a few hours.
“We need to gear up and get ready.”
Everyone grabbed all their gear and stocked up on supplies.
A few hours passed when they heard a loud boom, it was the pod. It dropped close to the last drop, the group met at the gate.
“Ok keep a sharp eye and watch each other’s backs, we only have a few hours before the sun sets.”
Logan said readying his gun.
They ran though the forest watch all angles, they finally came to the pod.
“Ok it looks untouched, they’d set up and wait.”
Kyle said handing out gas masks and ear muffs.
The group circled the pod and waited watching the tree line.
The sun started setting,
“Logan I don’t think their coming, we have to head back before we lose the light.”
Kari said lowering her mask.
“They have to come, we can’t head back yet.”
Logan said
“Logan we’ll find another way, let’s just grab the supplies and…”
Flash bang landed on top of the pod, even with the ear muffs on it was loud but not enough to knock them out.
The group readied their guns,
“WAIT, WAIT LOWER YOUR GUNS!!! WERE NOT HERE TO FIGHT, WE WANT TO TALK!!!”
Logan yelled looking at the tree line, he rose his gun above his head and pulled out the clip.
“Logan what are you doing man!”
Kari yelled
Logan threw the gun on the ground a few feet away from him,
“Stand down, we’re not here to fight them.”
Logan said to his team.
His team hesitated then lowered their guns and put them on the ground raising their hand above their heads.
“WE WANT TO MAKE A DEAL!! YOU CAN TAKE ALL THE SUPPLIES, IN RETURN WE JUST WANT YOUR HELP!! WE COME IN PEACE!!”
The forest was silent for a few moments, then they finally walked out of the forest. A man slowly walked into the clearing, he looked oriental with a black short Mohawk. The hooded girl from before stood next to him, Logan’s heart started to race.
“Are you in charge?”
Logan asked
“I am, tell me why should we help you? You come crashing down in our enemies territory causing trouble, we’ve kept them away from our lands for years and now we have to keep driving them away.”
His voice was stern but soft.
“I apologize, we had no idea there was still life down here.”
Logan said slowly taken a step forward, a spear landed inches away from Logan’s feet.
Logan’s team quickly grabbed and rose their guns,
“STAND DOWN!!”
Logan yelled, they lowered their weapons again.
“Why would you come down here having no idea what was down here, what if it wasn’t habitable?”
He ask crossing his arms.
“We had an image of green tree, that was enough for us to know it was habitable. The Nautilus, our space station, is losing power and fast. We had to take a chance to see if Earth was suitable for us to live on again, we a group of us came down to run some test. We didn’t know their were some hostile mutants and that’s why we need your help.”
The man smirked,
“How do you know we’re not hostile mutants?”
Logan lowered his hands,
“Cause you would have killed us the first time we met, and your nothing like the others we’ve came in contact with.”
The man nodded and waved his hand, the rest of his group came out of the forest lowering their weapons.
“So what is this deal your proposing?”
“This pod is filled with medical supplies, it’s yours if you help us find a stable place to live for the rest of our people for when they come down.”
The man chuckled a little,
“Maybe you shouldn’t have came crashing down in the Sang Shi’s territory.”
“Sang Shi?”
Logan asked
“Zombies.”
Said the hooded girl
“All the more reason for us to move our current base then, please we have the weapons and resources. We just need help navigating the land, we’re a safe place would be for us from the radiation cloud and.. the Sang Shi.”
The man took a deep breath,
“That’s the thing, there’s no place safe from them, specially the smart ones. Once your in their territory, they’ll hunt you till your all dead. I’m sorry.”
“Theirs got to be some where, please. We have all the supplies you need, their all your if you help us. We can help each other, we know how to make medical supplies, weapons and an elite military. Please.”
Logan pleaded.
The hooded girl whispered in the man’s ear, they had a quiet conversation. The man didn’t look to happy but nodded to the girl.
She walked up to Logan and stopped in front of him taking off her hood.
“Prove your worth, help us eliminate a small problem of our and maybe we’ll consider your proposal.”
Her voice was smooth like velvet.
Logan was nodded,
“Deal.”
