You made the right choice

Oliver was stunned for a long time. He didn't expect such a demand from this man. He could have asked for his company and he would have gladly given it to this man. But he asks for his daughter?! Then he realized what his intentions were. He is trying to harm his daughter. He is not going to let that happen! He immediately took out his phone and he was about to dial 911. "Are you seriously thinking about calling the cops?" the man chuckled.  "Yes! You are trying to harm my daughter! I will not sit quiet and do nothing when you do that—" The man let out a sigh and took out some documents from his briefcase. Then he gave it to the man and said, "This is just a fake one. I have the original evidence with me. If this thing gets out, you and your wife, both will be in prison." Oliver's eyes widened in horror when he looked at the papers. How did he even know about this? His wife and he had made sure to erase all the proof of their past crimes. "This is impossible," he let out a gasp.  "Mr. Oliver! Doing the impossible is one of my favorite games. Now tell me, are you willing to let your wife be jailed along with you? Whatever you decide, it is okay for me! Cause when you two are in jail, I'll be taking very good care of your daughter!" "Nooooo," Oliver shouted. "Why are you targeting my daughter?! Please leave her and ask me for anything else than her—" "I only need your daughter!" "But why? There are a million other girls in this world. Why her?" Tristan's expression darkened at his question. "No one else allured me the way your daughter did!" Oliver wondered how and where he even saw his daughter. Then he realized that his daughter is the Queen Bee of New York. Her i********: followers are more than thirty million. It is impossible for any New Yorker to even not know her. Perhaps he made a mistake by raising her this way. He must have sheltered his pretty daughter safely. But how could he have known that monsters like this would try to attack their family?  Very soon Oliver was able to connect all the dots together. His company suffered a loss overnight. This man must have made that happen. Or else how could this have happened?!  "How were you able to bring down the shares?" Oliver asked him.  Tristan smirked. "You seem smart! You found out about this sooner!" "So you did it?"  "Yes, I did! And I will do anything and everything for your daughter!" Oliver didn't know what to say. The man seemed fine and he could have tried to pursue Ivy just like all the men do. Why is he blackmailing him like this? He sensed that something was wrong with this man. He might seem handsome, but he is a psychopath. He can't just give her daughter to him! Who knows what he could do to her?! "Why are you taking time, Oliver? Or have you made up your mind to spend the rest of your life in prison? And are you not bothered that your wife would be ruined too because of you?!" Oliver was shocked. He is more than willing to go to prison for his daughter's sake. But he can't let the same happen to his wife! He knew what happened to women in the prisons. They are mistreated and abused by the other prisoners and male officers. He loved his wife so much to let that happen to her. But he also loved his daughter! He can't let her suffer too!  "Please don't make me choose between my wife and my daughter," Oliver almost cried. "I worked my whole life to keep them happy." Tristan frowned. "Who said that I am going to harm your daughter?! I know that you are treating her like a princess, but if you give her to me, I'll take care of her like a Queen. I will never cause any harm to her nor will I touch her without her approval." Oliver didn't actually expect to hear this from the man. He didn't know if he should believe him or not. So far all he did was trick and blackmail him. How could he believe this man and give up his daughter to him?! "Think faster, Oliver! I don't have much time. Even if you refuse this deal, I'll find another way to get your daughter. As I said before I am willing to do anything for her—" "Okay… okay…. Just tell me what is the guarantee that you will not harm her?!" "Well, there is no guarantee of what will happen to your wife when she goes to prison, isn't it?" Oliver shuddered at the thought. He didn't want the love of her life to suffer. It scared him to even see his wife cry. What will he do if she is taken to prison?!  "But you don't have to fear the same with me! I love your daughter and I tend to not wreck the things I love—" Tristan flashed a devilish smile to Oliver.  "Okay," he sighed. "How many days are you planning to….ummm?" Oliver was surprised that he was even asking something like this to a man. What has he become? What kind of man would agree to this? But he had no other choice! This seemed like a better idea in which their family and company doesn't get destroyed "Forever," Tristan said. "She is going to be with me forever—" Oliver rolled his eyes at the man while he patted him gently on his shoulder. "But don't worry! I'll let you see your daughter at least once in every month. Do you accept the deal now?" After a long moment of hesitation, Oliver answered, "Yes—" "Good! You made the right choice, Oliver. Congratulations—" Tristan then took out his checkbook and wrote him a check for one hundred and fifty million dollars.
