The Boss Lady

I grew up all alone. I have to fend for myself, and it can only be really hard as a child. Because of that, I knew I would be great someday if only I didn't stop but kept pushing. I always see people dressing nicely with their hair and how nicely they smell and all I wanted was to just look nicely with beautiful hair and smell nicely. One day I saw a love wig on the floor in my room. Way to pick pockets. I just knew it was fate leading me to my dreams in tiny pieces, so I grabbed it immediately and ran to my hide outside to look at it closely. And then I stuck to leaving its beauty and never let it out of my side. Just then I knew something in me had awakened quickly. I knew what to do. Immediately, I cleaned myself up and brushed my hair and dressed nicely with my little boots and ran to this particular saloon that, for some reason, kept calling me. When I got there, I was terrified and scared, but I told myself," you know we have to do this, or we go back to the slum and I really don't want to stay there anymore, and we have a lot of stuff to do and to achieve, so put yourself together. When I opened the door, everyone looked at me and was amazed when a lady walked up to me and said" how may we help you" and there I stammered and said I… I…I… want to be hired here. Please see if I can do anything. Please don't turn me down.. Looking at me, the lady was amused to see a little girl like me looking for a job because I really like your confidence. I would give you a job here and bring only 5 customers before 3pm. Let me see what you can do. 5 customers she muttered, walking outside, opening and closing the door whilst counting her hands, and it was 10am. Oh, my how would I do that hmm Well, we need this. We have to at least try, but where should I start now? Oh, I know I would look at people that dress nicely but have bad hair and try to convince them that will work. Looking left and right, I saw one, and she looked pretty but a little sad in the tea shop, and it seemed she had been disappointed. Immediately, I ran off to her and said I know one thing that would cheer you up, and she looked at me for a few seconds and said. What? Come with me, I will show you and trust me you will love it and I bet, say whatever that made you say, I will run back. When you are all set, shall we have a big smile on your face? She followed me, and then I happily opened the door for her, and she said" whoa a saloon." How do you know I need a hair do? Thank you so much. This will cheer me up. I ran out again and said 4 more to go. I was so excited, and I felt so alive that I could do this and just then I saw another lady. She looked like she was in a hurry but her hair needed saving, so I approached her. You know wherever you are heading to now. If they see your hair, you will get turned down. Come with me. I have a solution for you. Then the lady said, but I had barely one hour and I said give me just fifteen minutes with a smile, and she said okay," let go then. Opening the door to another customer and everyone was shocked, and I ran out again because I love that you can put a smile on someone's face just before you know it. I pumped into someone and looking at her, I said you need to save,. Let me show you to your savers She said" who are you and I don't need to save," and I said," You know, with that kind of hair you have on, no man would want to look at you. Just then she looked at the window glass and said," window," help me please. And this time around, I opened the door for another. They were all shocked, and the manager called me and said asked how you brought all brought this people these must be perfect with talking to people and don't for get you have two more customers before 3pm and you have a job. Looking at the time and walking away, I had thirty minutes left, and I really needed this job. I was thinking of what to do about I saw an opportunity right before my face and I had to grab it before it slipped from my hands. Just by the traffic light, I overheard a group of ladies talking about going for a date and I immediately pumped into their conversation and said hair looking ragged, I guess you will suffer from a bad selfie, and I was just like walking away. One of them approached me and said we were new in town. Would you mind taking us to a good saloon? I looked at them with a smile on my face and said you're in luck to follow me just a few minutes away from the shop." I walked a little fast while they followed me. At that point, I was two minutes away when I opened the door and behold, seven ladies walked in and all the others safely stood up in shock, and they all clapped for me. I was excited. Just when everyone had left the shop with their hair looking smashing and me receiving some tips, the manager approached me with some clothes in her hand and said, here you have got the job, and you start working from tomorrow 8:00am sharp and don't be late and take this you earned it. I was lost for words and excited leaving the saloon dance and singing because I never knew I had it in me and no more pocket picking or eating leftovers. Yes On getting home, I put out my new clothes and looked at them in my ragged mirror and smiled and the tips I got today I would save them and said I would use them to get myself a new apartment and some groceries and new boots. I deserved it and with the whole excitement I felt asleep.
