But peace in a city like this was only an illusion. Inside his dark apartment, Yesin stared at the glowing monitors. Five screens showed different angles of the same place. The house of Bhabotosh Chakraborty. Yesin didn’t blink much. His mind was racing far ahead of the present moment, building possibilities like lightning flashes. People reveal their true nature when their reality begins to break. He whispered to himself, “Let’s test your mind, Bhabotosh.” His fingers moved across the keyboard. Not deleting. Just… changing things. --- Morning sunlight entered the bedroom where Jilee was sitting quietly. Bhabotosh was scrolling through his phone. Suddenly he frowned. “What the…?” Jilee looked up. “What happened?” “My office account isn’t opening.” “Maybe the internet is slow.” Bhabotosh tried again. Account does not exist. His heartbeat skipped. “That’s impossible.” He opened another app. His bank. User not found. For a second he just stared at the screen. A strange cold feeling crawled up his spine. “Jilee… come here.” She walked over slowly. “What?” “Look at this.” She looked at the message. “Maybe it’s a technical issue.” But Bhabotosh knew something felt wrong. Very wrong. His entire digital life… gone? Impossible. --- Across the city, Yesin smiled. He hadn’t erased Bhabotosh. He had simply hidden him. Like deleting a search result without removing the file. “Confusion is the first step to madness,” he murmured. His brain flashed with another idea instantly. What if the wife begins to doubt him too? Psychological pressure works best when trust collapses. --- Back at the house, tension filled the room. Bhabotosh paced back and forth. “This doesn’t make sense. My company account, my bank… everything is glitching!” Jilee crossed her arms. “You’re overreacting.” “Overreacting?” He showed her again. She looked closely this time. A strange thought slipped into her mind. “Are you hiding something from me?” Bhabotosh stopped walking. “What?” “Maybe those accounts were never real.” His eyes narrowed. “Are you serious right now?” “I’m just asking.” “You think I’m lying about my job?” The air between them became heavy. A small misunderstanding. But it felt like something darker growing beneath it. --- On Yesin’s screen, both of their heart rates appeared from smart devices. Rising. Anger. Stress. Perfect. His brain sparked again with another idea. He opened a blank search bar and typed: “Bhabotosh Chakraborty — criminal history.” Then he pressed enter. Within seconds, fake records started spreading across hidden networks. A seed of doubt. A seed of fear. Soon people would start asking questions. And once society begins to question someone’s identity… Their reality starts collapsing. Yesin leaned back in his chair. “Love and hate are easy to control.” He stared at Jilee’s face on the screen. “But suspicion…” He smiled faintly. “Suspicion destroys everything.” And somewhere deep inside the city’s digital system, the name Bhabotosh Chakraborty flickered like a dying signal. Almost deleted. But not yet. ---
