12 It seemed incredible that only four short days had passed since she’d last been on board the magnificent Fairy Princess. Gwen stood in the middle of her suite’s spacious living room and stared around in bemusement. So many things had happened since she’d walked down that long, gleaming gangplank! Most of the clothes she’d tucked into her backpack were still clean. Apart from a bikini, she hadn’t bothered much with clothes at Avalon. Color flushed her cheeks as she remembered why, and she leaned against the doorframe in dreamy contemplation. Who could have imagined that even after all this time, the flame would burn so brightly?
