Keith
Roxanne
Ahana held my hands and smiled at me genuinely.
- Are you sure? - I nodded and she close her eyes. A flashing light blinded me for a while but as fast as it came, it disappeared. We stared at each other with Ahana and she asked.
- How do you feel? - I shrugged.
- I don't feel any difference... - her eyebrows frowned and she put her hand on my forehead. I saw a few drops of sweat rolling down on her temple while she concentrated on me, but after a couple of minutes she gave up and sighed.
- I have no idea what happened. You should be able to remember now. Also, I can't read your mind... I've never met any human like you.
- Is this a bad thing? - she smiled and pat my head.
- I don't think so, just unique. But since you don't remember, I can tell you what happened. - I shook my head.
- No. There must be a reason why your magic didn't work. I accept that I mustn't know.
- Wise decision Roxy. In this case, I'll get going. - I accompanied Ahana out and Jeremy walked her to the door while Clarissa and Rico filled me in with their truth. I couldn't look at Jerry. The image of him on my floor in pain and agony kept replaying in my head. To be honest, I wanted the truth but I was afraid. I was afraid that I won't be able to accept Jerry as what he is. With werewolf friends and immortal cousin, he can't be a simple human. Deeply in my heart I wanted him to be just Jerry... The silly journalist and my personal knight who keeps looking for his horse. It was getting late and I noticed that Jerry kept silent. He wasn't shocked by the fact that there were two werewolves in the room with us.
- Jerry ... Why didn't you tell me that you knew Clarissa and Rico? - it was a wild guess to ask but since he didn't say anything it worth the try. He shivered like he got an bucket full of ice thrown at him. Jerry didn't raise his head.
- I didn't know you knew them. - that's right. I didn't want to ask more and screw my revenge plan by revealing that I didn't remember about a single thing. We chatted a little more and Jerrt got up.
- I think I should get going. Tomorrow is an important day for you Roxanne, you should rest. - I gasped. I almost forgot the premiere! I walked him to the door while Clarissa and Rico offered to clean up a little in the living room. At the door we just stood like silly shy teenagers. Jerry giggled.
- So... - he kneeled down.
- What the heck are you doing?! - I asked almost screaming. He chuckled and looked down the floor.
- Would the princess show some mercy for her loyal knight and reveal him the truth? Please save my aching soul from the despair. - I wished I knew our past. I wanted to remember how I met him. Why we weren't together? I kissed the top of his head and he froze under my touch. Then, I pulled him up and said.
- What would be the fun in that? I have a better idea. Let's start with a blank page. Let's be Roxy and Jerry! - he smiled and gave a kiss on my forehead.
- Fine. Good night tiny dancer...
- See you tomorrow, hopeless knight. - I said and he turned back from the corner of the stairs smiling.
- All I have is hope. - he said and left. I closed the door behind him and as suggested I quickly went to the bed. He was right, I needed to be well rested. As soon as I closed my eyes I fall asleep. But my dream was so real... It was the same terrifying dream but this time, I saw everything clearer. I heard my own dying scream but I couldn't tell who I called. He desperate howl now sounded so much louder. The next moment I was at our old apartment. Those silver eyes that saved me from death were glaring at me. A low but powerful growl broke the silence of night and I heard someone saying to stop. The next image was in my apartment in Portman... There was a guy, a lovely man sitting next to me on my couch.
- I miss him Keith... - I said and he grabbed his phone.
- Call him. - I shook my head.
- I can't!
- Don't be silly Roxy. I think he misses you as much as you miss him.
-I can't live like that!
- You haven't even tried! - the next image I saw was Rico laying on the ground screaming in pain. A blurry figured man tried to help him. I saw Keith who died in front of my eyes holding a brunette. I screamed from the top of lungs. I remembered everything about him... How I met him, how I loved him. Keith's laughter echoed in my mind, I felt his warm, comforting arms around me and they took him away from me. I saw him smiling at the girl and heard her saying. " Keith, you found me". - I sat up in my bed. My heart was racing and my eyes were swollen.
- Keith... - I whispered. I felt the pain of loosing him. - I'm so sorry that I forgot you... It won't happen ever again... I miss you so much. I hope you could hear me, I did it Keith. I'll dance for you tomorrow. I hope you found peace and you are happy with your Leah. I know it is selfish, since I don't even know when I lost you, but I wish you were here. - I laid back and sighed. I felt a warm, comfortable feeling around me and I fall asleep as a tired child after playing all day out in the sun.
Next morning the alarm sounded cruelly reminding me of my duties.
I hit it as usual but this time my alarm broke in two. My eyes opened wide and I stared at the destroyed object when the door swung open. I had just enough time to hit the clock on the floor.
- Good morning sleeping beauty! Are you ready for today?! - Clarissa asked and I grimaced at her.
- How could you be so awfully energetic this early in the morning? - I asked and pulled my blanket on my head.
- Get up!
- Just give me 5 minutes! - Clarissa grabbed my blanket and pulled it off of me. I was holding the blanket on the other end so I literally rolled out of bed. I groaned.
- Fine! You won, I'm up.
- Great! We didn't leave the Pack to watch you sleep all day! - we walked into the kitchen and my mouth filled with saliva at the fantastic scents I felt. Rico was preparing us breakfast. We took seats and watched as the muscular, handsome Rico cooked in the kitchen.
- I could get used to this sight. - I said and Clarissa's eyes darkened a little.
- I mean, a handsome man making breakfast for me, not Your man making breakfast!- Clarissa smiled in embarrassment.
- Sorry Roxy... Being a werewolf is cool but this stupid jealousy and overprotective behavior gets on my nerves sometimes. - I pat her shoulder.
- It is fine! - the bell rang and I went to open the door. The smile I had immediately disappeared from my face.
- Good morning sugar! Let's make you a star! - Damon smiled and he looked at me from head to toe.
- Why are you still in PJ's? - he asked and his tone changed. It was dangerous and angry.
- I just woke up and... - he pushed me in and shut the door closed.
- GET READY NOW! - he shouted and I took a step back. I lifted my hands between us and in a calming voice I tried to make him shut the f**k up.
- Damon... I have friends over... I told you yesterday that they were staying here. Don't make a scene. - Damon grinned with arrogance and his eyes seemed to be empty and cruel. He grabbed my wrists and hissed.
- How dare you talk back to me? - I closed my eyes and heard a loud bump sound. Damon released my wrists and I glanced behind me. I saw Rico, over towering me. He looked at Damon with so much anger that I thought he is going to kill Damon at that instant. Clarissa was already by my side and held my hand.
- Get out of the way dude! This is none of your business! - Damon said and I saw Rico's eyes darkening. He chuckled in a tone that made me getting goosebumps. It was frightening.
- I don't remember letting you speak. - he said and Damon laughed at him.
- Do you have any idea who I am? - Damon asked with anger. Rico grabbed his collar and lifted Damon up a few inches from the floor.
- No, but you don't know me either... - Rico leaned closer to Damon and I saw his canines shine. - What makes you think that you are in a position to order ME around?! - Rico asked and even I got scared. Clarissa hugged him from behind and Rico released Damon.
- On the count of three you get the hell out of this apartment or I'll shred you into pieces! Oh... One more thing. Don't you ever dare to lay a hand on Roxanne again!
One... Two.. - Damon looked at me with hate and possessiveness in his eyes but probably realized that Rico wasn't kidding. The atmosphere changed immediately after that and Rico smiled kindly.
- Breakfast is ready! - they walked to the kitchen and I followed them with a knot in my stomach. If I was with them...why the f**k did I leave?!
