These past few weeks have been very difficult. I am trying not to get jealous of Cole and Lorcan but she’s more comfortable with them than she is supposed to with me. I don’t know what to do. I can’t use my sister, she loves Casler too much to betray her.
I saw her everyday with Cole and she’s smiling at him and when she sees me she frowns. I need to talk to her alone but she even moved out from our room. I talked to her and even said I will win her over. What the hell was I thinking? I am ruthless. I am ruthless.
“Keep telling that to yourself” Ash, my wolf said
“Shut up, can you win Crystal over?” I asked
“I don’t have to, I already did”
“WHAT? YOU LIAR, IT CAN’T BE”
“Yes, I talked to her once, she said she’s okay with me. Her human was just moving on from their ex-mate. She told me that her human is still longing for her ex-mate but she made me sure that eventually you will win her heart over. But I’m guessing you are too stubborn for that.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“You never asked”
“Why didn’t I know? You’re my wolf. How can you talk to her without me knowing?”
“I don’t know. But she’s the one who called me. Maybe because she herself is a hybrid, she can do a lot of things too. Her human doesn’t even know too”
Weeks have passed and I have been trying to be gentle with her, trying to control my jealousy but sometimes we end up fighting because of her temper, we both have a temper but she has been spoiled too much clearly. She doesn’t listen to anyone.
Cole is unmated and so is she, and she tells me that trust her and I do but I can’t help it! When Lorcan visited, I got jealous and even followed them in the restaurant where they ate. Okay, creepy but I am her mate.
I need to find out how to unwish her wish. Or maybe I could wish? Or not? I have to ask someone for that. And I think I know who to asked.
I pick up my phone and dial one of the elders, I bet he knows what to do.
“Elder Hayward, I have something to ask of you, can you come by today?” I asked through the phone
“Okay, be there in 3…2….1” the phone went ringing and suddenly he appeared in front of me. He likes tricks like this and he is fun to be with
“What is it?” he asked as he take a glass and filled it with whiskey
“I found my mate” I said
“Really? That’s great! Where is she? I need to warn her about a few things” he said
I looked at him seriously.
“Okay, it’s serious, what is it?” He asked and his playfulness was immediately set aside
“I found her but she can’t feel the bond. Do you know what to do to be able to make her feel it?”
“Are you sure it’s her?” He asked
“Yes, I am. She smell like roses and strawberries, I get jealous when she’s with her unmated friends, I like her being around and she soothes me” I said
“Okay. What happened?”
“They said when her ex-mate died, she wished every day that if she ever had any a second chance mate, she and her wolf wouldn’t feel it and as you can see, she can’t”
“There is a way but you have to make her like you. I can sense that you two have been a little off”
“Win her over? How am I supposed to do that?”
“Learn to love again. Then if you win her heart, call me again then I shall tell you” then he disappeared
Learn to love again? Bullshit.
“How can you win her over, if you don’t believe in love?” Ash said
“I don’t know what love is, what love feels like, how am I supposed to know that kind of things?”
“You love Lily, James. Don’t play with me”
“That’s different!”
“You’re hopeless. You need to find answers on your own”
I tried reaching out to my wolf but he shut me off.
“Ungrateful wolf” I muttered
Then I smell her. I smiled.
“Come In, Cas” I yelled
“How did you know I was here?” she asked
“I can smell you” I said
We stayed silent for a minute. I was admiring her beauty and perfect body. And her hair was dripping wet
“So” she said interrupting me
“What can I do for you?” I asked
“Are you busy? You sent Cole out. Lorcan is far away from here and Lily is asleep.”
“No, I am not. Why?” I asked confused
“Can you dry my hair? But it’s okay if you don’t I usually ask Cole but he’s not here.”
What? Why would she ask Cole to do that? Shouldn’t be me? I frown
“What? So I’ll ask someone else then?” she ask
“Sit down. I will do it”
She sat down and I sat down behind her.
“I’m sorry. My dad and brother’s usually do this for me, when I came here, Cole was doing it”
“You should’ve asked me you know” sounding jealous, because I am. She should know that
“you know you sound cute when you’re jealous”
“You should ask me from now on.” I said changing the topic
“Fine, but when Cole comes back---“ “No” I cut her off
“from now on, you ask me to dry you hair, I may be busy but I make time for important people” I said
“Okay then. Thanks” It was like, it’s a normal thing for her. What? isn’t this an intimate gesture? I don’t understand this woman at all
After a few minutes “all done”
She said thank you again and now walking towards the door.
“Where are you going?” I asked
“To the kids. They asked me to read them a few stories today”
“Okay, let’s go”
“Really?” She asked, she’s teasing me
“Come on. I promise you, I’ll try to be good right. Come on”
She was silent the whole way. When we reached the orphanage, it was quiet, too quiet. I look over at her and she was smiling
“Where are my babies at?” she shouted
Then pups came in running. Then they stopped. They were looking at me in fear.
“Come on, don’t be afraid. He won’t hurt you” Casler said
They slowly came to her. While looking at me with fear. They all loved her, and that’s a good thing. Since, it’s one of her job as a Luna. I smiled at that thought. I look over the corner and saw a little girl.
“She doesn’t like to be bothered. When I first came here, I tried reaching out to her but she wouldn’t budge” Casler whispered to me
I look at the kid over and I started to walk towards her. I stoop down.
“Hey? Why don’t you play with other kids?” I asked, she just looked at me and played with her hands
“Don’t be afraid. No one will hurt you” I gently said
She suddenly reached out to me. AND HUGGED ME.
I was shocked at her move.
“I like hugs” she said in a little cute voice
“Then why don’t you ask her over there for a hug?” I asked pointing at Casler
“I don’t know” she just said
“Is it, okay to take you over to her?”
“Okay”
I looked at her one more time and her eyes are different. Her right eyes is blue while the other is gold. I reached for her again and She gripped my hands tightly.
We walk over at Casler, and when I looked at her, she looks at us with love and affection.
