SHAUN'S POV

We were done eating at the restaurant Kashina chose, we were walking and I guided her to cross the road, only if I knew i would not let her do that.

I want to tell her that I met her a few years ago, I think she will be glad. But I won't, it's not a big deal. We're just playing together in the playground, and my younger brother took her lollipop, but to my surprise instead of having a tantrum she immediately gave it to her and reached for another two and gave the other one to me. I guess she doesn't remember it since she didn't know my name back then. I have admired her since then.

(Kashina) "hey. what's wrong?"

"nothing."

(kashina) "you sure?"

"yeah."

we're at school now, they waved goodbye to us.

(kashina) "hey. I'll see you later."

I nodded and headed to our classroom.

we're having a japanese lesson now.

(Mr. David) "Alright before I go, here's your test paper for the weekly progress in your language activities."

(Mr. David)" Sherwin, please come get it."

(Sherwin) " yes sir."

Sherwin is our class president. He handed us our papers, when I checked my score, English is 123, Spanish is 120, Korean is 110 and Japanese... 80...

(Mr. David) " I'm sure you've checked your scores, to my surprise... Japanese is your weakness. In class 7, even if they're at the regular class, their japanese is outstanding. They're weak at Math & Science, but their language's score is better than yours. I hope you can withstand that, I'm not bragging about it, but I just hope that you all are going to change it to the standards of being the HIGHEST section.".

(Mr. David) "*the bell rang* then, that's all. Class dismissed."

(Voughn) "is it our fault that they bring us into this highest section? And now they're comparing us with them, and wants us to change? tsk!"

(Shion) "We can't blame Mr. David, Language is more important than Mathematics. But japanese is so hard, hard like math."

(Kalix) "yeah. hey hey. if our language is too low, there's a chance our final grades will be low too. Ayst. What's your Japanese scores? Is japanese your lowest?"

(Voughn) "no. haha, my Spanish and Japanese are the lowest. Spanish is 86 and my Japanese is 90"

(Kalix) "wow, voughn you're really dumb."

(Voughn) " What's yours then?"

(Kalix) "hehe. we're both dumb. my Spanish is 88, and my japanese is 87."

(Voughn) "you're talking about dumbness but you're clearly the dumbest here."

(Voughn) "what about yours? shion?"

shion sighed and looked at them

(Shion) " my Korean is 88, My Japanese is 85, and my Spanish is 84... and my highest is English. 113."

(Kalix) "Wow, you're... dumbest.."

shion just rolled his eyes and the two started laughing

(kalix) "how about you, Shaun?"

(Shion n) "why ask, it's too obvious that he's the highest in our class."

"The others are 100+, yet my japanese is 80."

(Voughn) "we can't say you're dumb, hays!"

KASHINA'S POV

(Miss brena) "Mr David asked me to give you your weekly test progress in Language, Here come take it Class president"

Vianna, our class pres handed us our test, they all got their papers and I noticed she haven't given mine yet

"uhm, miss. I haven't got mine"

(Miss brena) "oh. you're Yuikashina Leuen right?"

I nodded

(Miss brena) "I am surprised really. Mr David said he took your paper to give to the other classrooms to take a look and be the motivation for other students, but he left me this note in case you asked about your paper. Your English is 123, Spanish 112, your Korean is 133 and Highest is Japanese, 140, It's over 150 right? You just got 10 wrongs. And i think, you're the highest in our school at the subject Language, David mentioned it to me earlier. I'm proud."

my classmates started gasping and cheering while clapping "wow you're really good" "teach me next time please" "nice!!"

"thank you."

(Miss brena) "you may ask Mr. David about your exam, after his class he should be at the office. *Bell rang* Alright, that's all. class dismissed."

(Hali) "wow, Yuikashina, You're really awesome *thumbs up*"

"ayy, it's not something to be proud of."

(Waren) "what do you mean it's not something to be proud of? You're the highest in our school, you should celebrate"

"nah. you're the only ones here who's proud of that score, so... it's not big deal."

"hali, I'll go to the office to get my paper"

(Haliyah) "okay, let's head to the convenience store when you come back"

I nodded and walked outside. What's there to be proud if your score in other subjects is opposite in one subject? My math and science never achieved 90+ then what 100+ in Language can do? And for one thing, My step-mom will not be happy if she saw the score of my other subjects.

*knock knock*

"come in."

"Hello, Mr David. Is my paper with you?"

(Mr David) " Oh, you're Yuikashina Leuen right?"

"yes sir."

(Mr David.) "I asked my class president to hand it to his classmates to take a look, they should be done now. Do you mind going there and take it?"

"oh, I don't sir. uhmm... It's class 1 right?"

( Mr David) "yes yes. I've finished recording the scores so you can take your exam with you."

"okay, thank you. I'll get going then."

wait, class 1? isn't it the class of Shaun and others? Wait, so you're telling me they're taking a look at my exam now? With my name on it? WHAT?!

It's not that I'm embarrassed about my score, it's just my surname doesn't make any sense!

I ran faster to Shaun's classroom. When I reached his classroom, I stopped for a minute and make sure that my hair is looking just fine.

SHAUN'S POV

(Voughn) "wow, Kashina is really smart at language, look. her scores are 100+ and her highest is Japanese with a score of 140, just 10 mistakes?"

(Kalix) "wow. is she the student that Mr David is talking about?"

(Shion) "Yeah, it makes sense since she's from Class 7. But... Her surname doesn't make any sense."

(Voughn) "you're right, it feels like I heard this surname before."

I can't stop looking at her Japanese score and my score, it would be nice if my japanese score is high as hers.

*knock *knock

"hello. are you done checking my exam?"

we all looked up and saw Kashina in the front door

(Kalix) "hey, it's Ms Leuen"

(Voughn) "no, it's Ms language!"

(Kashina) "shut up, are you done?"

I stood up and walk towards her

(Kashina) "oh thanks. did you... check it too?"

"yes, uhm... we all did."

(Kashina) "oh okay. then... did you make fun of my surname too?"

"No..?"

(Kashina) "That's a relief. I'll get going then." Then gave me a warm smile

(Georgia) "How dare she look at Shaun like that."

(Fiona) " Her language is high, but she's still in the lowest section."

(Voughn) " at least her score is better than yours."

(Georgia) "But she's still in the lowest"

(shion) "you're just jealous."

(Georgia) " we're not!"

(Shion) " Tsk!"

"if you're not jealous you shouldn't be talking like that behind her back. you're clearly making yourself low too. If she's you, and you is she, she'll probably praise you and adore you... Then her personalities are better than yours."
