Elijah's POV:
"I just can't seem to figure her out!" Xavier said again for the hundredth time today as we walked into his office that sat over the dancefloor of his club.
"You've said that, already," I told him as I followed him and locked the door behind me.
"She looks at me as if she's better than me." He mentioned and I couldn't help but think that he was right, she is much better than him but it isn't something that I should be admitting to.
"Maybe she doesn't want you to try to impress her with your wealth. Maybe that isn't what she wants." I told him as I walked over to his private bar and pulled out two glasses.
"It could be a sign that she isn't the right fit for you," I added with a hidden smile as I pulled out one of his liquors from the fridge.
"That's impossible." He mumb
