Chapter 32The snow lasted for three days, drawing adults and children alike out of their homes to play in it. It lay on the ground just long enough for us to enjoy the novelty, but when everyone rose on the fourth day to find it had rained through the night and the streets were washed clean, most people were delighted that things were back to normal.
