Chapter 31I automatically wake early on Christmas morning as if I were going to work before I remember I can enjoy the luxury of being able to roll over and go back to sleep. It's my first gift of the day. I easily sink back into oblivion because I am so relaxed and I haven't given in to the temptation of rising to check what the weather is like. I wake again later with sunlight streaming through a crack in the curtains and the sound of Patricia moving about downstairs.
