Chapter 30Over the next couple of days, all my plans come to fruition. Patricia's business is set up and her new bank account is opened with a transfer of ten thousand euros from her existing business account. The cash from Claude is stashed in our house, waiting to be trickled back into the bank over a period of weeks, so as not to give rise to money laundering questions – and Michelle Moliner is no longer my new best friend. I'm delighted that things have gone back to normal where she is concerned. We still exchange the same pleasantries when we meet, still greet each other with kisses to both cheeks, but that's as far as it goes.
