Prologue
A mysterious man sat behind a large desk. He looked up when he heard knocking on the door. He quickly opened it.
‘Hurry, come inside.’ he said to the young man in front of the door. The man stepped aside so the other man could walk through. He looked into the hallway, to see if nobody saw the other man or followed him. There was no one in the hallway. He closed the door and went back to his desk. With hopeful eyes he asked: ‘Did you find something? Do you have anything new we could use against them?’
‘I'm afraid not, but I have a plan to get close to them.’
The man hit the table hard with his fist. ‘Damnit, I thought you said you had something.’ The anger wasn't toward the man in front of his desk, his anger was for Jack. The man had taken everything from him. Everything. He had nothing left. If Jack won't be taken down, he could end up homeless with his wife and three children. He would never let it happen he promised, but Jack was making it very hard right now.
‘Yeah, I told you just now. I have a plan.’ The other man leaned in his big chair way to comfortable. He didn't see the hurt Jack had done. No one knew.
‘Okay, tell me about it. Please, explain to me what your big plan is. I really want to take down the family Weekland and I wanted it to be done months ago. But we are still empty handed.’ The man was looking forward to end the family Weekland for years now, but no one was willing to help him achieve his goals. Now he found some young men and women who all have felt the hurt, done by a Weekland. It was finally time to take them down. But how hard they tried, somehow Jack was always a step ahead. It was like he had man working for him everywhere. His father always said: ‘To take down the head of the snake, you have to take down his tail first.’ And that was what they were doing now. The plan was to take down the children first. They were the weak part of Jack. He wouldn't see it coming.
‘I'm not going to tell you my plan right now.’ the other man said. ‘I will tell you if it's working. We are going to take them down from the inside. If we know their secrets, we can use it against them. Maybe even get them to hate each other and they will take themselves down.’
‘I will give you a week and then I want to see some kind of results.’ the mysterious man said. He nodded and gave a sign the man could leave.
‘I can work with that.’ The other man stood up to walk out of the room.
‘Send in the girl.’ He commanded.
‘I will boss.’
It would all work out for the better, the man thought to himself. Once Jack Weekland is taken down, the world would be a better place. Once he is taken care of, he was free and his family safe again. Yes, this better work. It had to work. It had to be done. If not for him, then for his children.
