Only Need You

Chapter Nine:

Brody POV

I get layla home and take her upstairs and once i put her down she rushes into the bathroom and turns on the shower i go sit in one of the chairs and waited for her she comes out in a towel and her hair wrapped up. I said “feel better” she says “yes, but we need to leave until abigail and cody are alpha and luna” i said “that not for another few weeks, alpha just said he needed more time to prepare” she says “i know. My parents have a place we can go until then” i said “ok, pack up and we go to my place to pack and we leave now” she goes to her closet pulls out two suit cases and puts them on her bed she goes back in and gets dressed. With two more bags for her essentials and makeup i help her put clothes in her suitcase while she grabs the clothes she wants, once she was finish i kissed her forehead and said meet me down stairs in the car ok. I get down the stairs and out the front door and put her things in the back of my Dodge Ram as i turn she was walking out with the two other bags i take them from her before she puts them in and i said get in i put these in the back. She gets in and i put the rest of her things in. I get into the driver seat and drive to my house i pull in and i said “want to stay here or come in” she says “better i come in, i dont want you out of my sight” i said “ok, lets go” we get into the house and head to my room she sits in the chair and i grab 3 suitcases she helps me pack the bathroom and i get my clothes and needed things and once we where done we headed out to my truck and put them in. I hear a text and once i get into the car i fire it up and put it in the seat. Layla says “who txt you” i said “i dont know didn’t bother to look at it, we read it when we get to your parents vacation house” she nods i start the truck and drove out of pack lands. We have about a 10 hour drive to get there so into the 4 hour drive we come into a small town. We stop to eat and use the bathroom and get snacks and drinks and once we hit the road another txt, i ignore the txt and keep on driving i look over and layla fell asleep its already 6pm and i told myself the next town we stop for dinner. We reach the next town within 30 minute i stop the car in front of a diner and i said “layla baby, wake up, we need to eat” she wakes up and says “im sorry i fell asleep” i said “its fine, lets go eat” we both get out of the truck and head into the diner the waitress sits us at a booth and we sit down i go over the menu and so is layla. My phone goes off again and this time i look at it, i have 30 missed calls and a few txt i open the txt and it said:

Cody: hey where are you guys, i need to talk to you

Cody: come on man, i know your getting my messages, txt me back asap

Cody: answer your phone damnit, this is important, he knows layla is pregnant, answer

Cullen: have layla meet me in the conference room, i know she is pregnant and its mine

Cody: man please reply

Abigail: dont worry about cullen i told him the baby isn’t his its yours lets us know what you guys are doing, cody is freaking out,

Me to Cody

Me: man we are fine we are taking a break and going on a camping trip, sorry I didn’t reply i kept getting no reception and signal 

Cody: thank god, i thought something happen to you guys, well have fun and be back soon okay

Me: right on man, what is this cullen thinking this baby is his

Cody: he went to the clinic with Chrissy for a paternity test and heard about your ultrasound and he got to thinking she was pregnant from the party

Me: oh well she took conceptions that night to prevent it

Cody: i know, and you guys go relax and be careful she doesnt need any of this stress

Me: ok man, i txt you tomorrow

Cody: ok talk to you tomorrow

I put my phone away and the waitress comes and ask us what we want and I give her my order and so does layla. We give the menu back to her and i look at her and said our cover is solid they think we went camping. Layla says “great, we may not go back until the baby is born” i said “what really” she says “yes this place is in human territory so i can still have my baby and have check-ups just the human way” i said “ok thats fine with me” our food arrived and we started eating. We finished up and i leave a tip and head to the cashier and pay for our food. We walk out to the truck she gets in and we finish the rest of the drive. It’s 1 am when we pulled in she gets out and walks to the door and uses the hidden key to unlock it and she opens it she turns on the lights and walks back out and i said “i get the bags” she says “ok, let me grab the two ones right here” i nodded and she grabs them and heads back in. I grab her two suit cases and roll them into the house and i went back and got mine once everything was inside i lock my doors to the truck and close the front door and lock it. I do a walk around and cant believe how big this place is, i go to the back sliding door and see nothing but ocean and sand. Layla comes out of the bedroom and said “lets get some sleep and ill show you around” i nodded to that and headed into the room with her, i strip down to my boxers and she puts on a tank and shorts. We get into the bed and i pull her to me kiss her sweet lips and she snuggles into me we both let sleep take over us. 

Layla POV

We arrive to my parents vacation home. It’s 1am and i grab my two bags to take to the bathroom in the master bedroom and Brody said he get the luggage i nodded and went in, i hear him honk his horn and close the front door i watch him from the doorway of the bedroom and he walks to the sliding glass and takes in the sand and ocean i said “come lets rest i will show you around tomorrow” he nods and walks to the room i get into a tank top and shorts and he gets into his boxers i get into the bed and he did also he pulls me to him and i look up at him he looks at me and plants a sweet kiss on me. I snuggle into his chest and fell asleep. I wake up the next day with the sun shining through the curtains and once i fully open my eyes brody was still holding me. I try to get out of his embrace and he tighten his hold even more. I said “morning” he says “morning” i said “i need to pee” he said “ok” he lets me go and i get out of the bed and go use the bathroom i brush my teeth  and put my hair up in a pony tail and walked out he looks up at me and says “your glowing baby” i said “really” he says “yes, you look very beautiful” i blush  and he gets out of bed and pulls me to him and we kiss passionate and as i pull away i said “ go shower and i see you in the living room” he nods and goes to the bathroom  and i head out of the room. I get into the kitchen and i see the fridge is stocked and there is coffee and everything. I thought, that’s weird this shouldn’t be fully stocked. I shrug and make coffee and start making eggs and bacon and once i finish breakfast i put it on the table and the coffee and brody walks out and says “wow food too” i said “yeah, its fully stocked, thats odd” he looks at me and i pulled out my phone and i got a txt

Dad: honey i hope your okay, i heard what happen, i had Susie our house keeper get you food and everything you need for a week, please let me know how your doing. If your wonder how i know you go there to get away, i know my daughter, she go where she is the safest and furthest, its the reason why i bought that place.

Mom: baby dad arranged the vacation house for you, it stocked with food and likening and i have Susie come by and clean once a week okay

Cody: i told dad you and brody went on a camping trip he said to have fun and be safe

Me to my dad

Me: daddy, thank you, i was hoping you knew where i was going, I didn’t want to leave but i had to, i am not coming back until the baby is born, so no worries i will get food after the first week

Dad: okay honey we be down a week before your do and use an excuse to go on vacation to the Caribbean and not there, i have money sent to your second account that no one knows about, i will make sure you have enough for things you need to get okay, just keep us up to date how your doing

Me: thank you daddy, i love you

Me to mom

Me: thank you, i talked to dad and he told me whats up, thank you and i be safe, love you and see you later.

Mom: anything for you baby, take care of yourself and my grand baby and i see you later, i have your dad keep me up to date so you just have to let him know.

Me: ok mama, love you bye

I put my phone on the charger and headed to the table brody says “your parents” i said “yes, they had Susie the house keeper stock the house and have it ready for us” he looks at me funny and said “how would he know we come here” i said “he didn’t, he just bought this place for a vacation home, he also got it in case one of us has to dissapear. No one knows back at home he owns this” brody says “good, we be under the radar” i nodded and sat down and we ate our breakfast. I get up take the plates once we where done and he grabs our glasses i put it in the sink and walk to the bedroom to change into a bikini and tank and shorts and walked out and said “ready for the tour” brody says “hell yeah beautiful lets go” i walk to the back sliding door open it and walked out to the back porch then off onto the beach i grab brody hand after he close the door and met up with me and we walked the beach.

Abigail POV

I find out brody and layla went camping i guess that be the best for right now. I get down to the clinic to get check after what happen and i hear my brother screaming at the nurses i said “what the hell is wrong with you” he says “bud off” i said “no” i looked at the nurse and she shows a sorry look i said “its about layla pregnancy” he says “yes, she is pregnant with my pup and i demand to see the ultra sounds” i said “that isn’t your pup thats brody’s” he growls and said “no, we did it on the day of the party with no protection, its mine” i said “she took conception to prevent it” he looks at me even more angry and said “what, thats impossible, she doesnt know about it” i said “yes, she does, she took it also the last time you did it, before forcing her yesterday” he growls some more and said “why do you care, she is no longer your mate” i said “she will always be my mate the moon goddess chose me not you” he smiles and says “did that bond link feel good when i took it away” i growl and slap him on the face and said “i get that bond back watch me” he says “yeah right, when she is by my side i will make her reject brody and i can have her all to myself, then dad will give me alpha title and not you” i said “your the worst brother, what happen to that guy a month ago” he says “the minute i had layla is when that good guy left, if she could of just agree to be with me i would be that same guy, she made me like this”. I slap him one more time and i said “I’m going to mark her when i get the chance and it will over ride you and i hope you feel the pain i did, and you will accept the fact you need to move the hell on and take care of Chrissy and the baby you got, if not i will banish you from this pack” he says “you will not, i was born to be here” i said “watch me” he walks away to Chrissy exam room and i said i need to see the doctor and the nurse said “right this way” i get into the examine room and sit on the table the doctor comes in and does her exams and said “you look fine just exhausted” i looked at her with relief but she also said “the feeling of the mate bond being broken will last for a week, so you willl feel like this, is there anything else i need to know” i said “can i take a pregnancy test” she says “sure the cup is in the bathroom i be back soon” i walk into the bathroom and pee in the cup. Few minutes later the nurse comes in and takes the cup and 5 minute later the doctor comes in and says “you are not pregnant and thats a good sign, if you where i would have to make sure your on bed rest” i said “why” she says “the mate bond break is intense on your body and thats not good on the baby if you are, so go home rest and see me at the end of the week” i nod and the doctor leave i walk out of the room and cody comes up and says what did the doctor say. I tell him and he hugs me and takes me back to my room to rest and once he lays me in bed he gets in and hold me until i fall asleep.
