Back on the deck, Eva kept her eyes fixed on her laptop. Finn was almost to the Tylosaurus, which meant so was the Dolorosa. And the Venom was almost on top of them.
Leo maneuvered the blue drone with its remote attached to his tablet, looking down at the device through a black blind he used to block the glare of the sun. “I can see something ahead of Finn. A dark shape in the water. It’s coming up to surface… It’s got to be the Ty.”
Gunshots sounded from the direction of the fast-approaching Venom. Everyone aboard the Dolorosa ducked down. Rascal barked.
“Get below!” Thomas yelled. He locked and loaded the rifle, then held the Ruger with one hand and opened the cabin door with the other.
