Chapter Eleven
It was a long drive back to the beach. The freeways were packed and backed up bumper to bumper in every lane. The trip out to the mountains took us less than three hours, but the trip back was nearly doubled. I was sort of glad I wasn’t the one tied up in the trunk.
When we finally arrived, we took Becky right to the dungeon and released her.
“Go shower while Bobby empties the car. Then, we’re going to see Helen at the porn shop,” Annie told her.
She went right into the bathroom without saying a word.
I actually was a little surprised. After that long ride in the trunk, I thought she might change her mind, but she didn’t. While we waited, Julie called her friend and told her to expect us. Then all of a sudden I got a funny thought and started to laugh.
