Edwards POV
It's going to be a long drive to get to Moonlake. It's normally a 5 hour drive, but Felix may get us there in record time. Granted, it'll still be a couple of hours. The anticipation is driving me wild. I need to find a distraction. So, I'm just going to talk to Elijah and see if it helps any. But, what do I say? I have so many thoughts going through my mind right now. I can't even think of what to say to him. Luckily he breaks the silence first.
"Edward?"

"What's my problem? I mean yesterday I was so excited to find our mate. Today, I was excited, but it wasn't the same. It's like when I thought it might be Amara and not someone else, the desire faded alittle. It's like my excitement died down and I became calmer. Why?"
