The package

When Brian reached the penthouse, he found a rather odd-looking package. It did not have a return address. The package was addressed to Mr. Brian Humphries 1235 crystal way Brocktonburg. colorado 89546. It was in a brown weathered package with a string tied around it. It was not bigger than a deck of cards. Brian walks through the white doors and walks over to his white couch that sits facing his fireplace that in the middle of winter in Colorado is roaring. As his mind is wandering, he proceeds to unwrap the package slowly and as he gets to the first layer of wrapping a card falls out. He puts the package on the table next to his chaise where he set his drink he slowly bends down and picks up the card it reads,” Dearest Brian, by the time this reaches you should be just about to turn 18. I am sure you have grown to be a handsome and amazing man. I wish that I were able to see you grow up. What is included with this note is a piece of your past which will help you in the coming months please guard It with your life it is very precious, and it cannot fall into the wrong hands till we meet again - P- “AS He finished the note, He was very intrigued. He picks up the little package with his right hand and kind of plays with it between his hands as he ponders what it could be. After what seems like a lifetime, Brian starts to unravel the package from its sheath. What is wrapped up in the sheath is mind-blowing and has Brian in awe. It was a small brass sword encrusted with jewels on the helm by the handle. It was the size of a small water glass. The sword has the initials M.G.H on the bottom. He does not have the time to investigate it as he is getting ready to board a flight to North Carolina. He calls to his housekeeper, Mrs. Potts, and asks, “Have my bags been brought down to the car?”, She responds with

“ yes sis they have, and I have also taken the liberty to pack you a small bag of snacks and drinks for the flight.” Brian Looks at Mrs. Potts and thinks to himself where did I get so lucky to have someone in my life that cares for me such as her. He chuckles as he gives her a hug thanking her, he grabs his coat and walks about the door. (Brian pov) As I drive to the airport, I cannot stop thinking about the gift that was mailed to me. I (t was a very strange piece. I Forgot to ask Mrs. Potts about it. I guess I will just have to ask Uncle Peter about it. I see all the people rushing to get to planes and catch fights. I am so glad that I do not have to worry about that as I have charted a plane. I get to the security checkpoint, and I go through the process, I find my escort to the plane. When I get to the plane, I board the plane find my seat and I hunker down for the very long flight from Colorado to North Carolina and I also fall fast asleep as my mind drifts off. (End of pov)

When the plane reaches Charlotte International, Brian has awoken the stewardess letting him know that his plane has landed and will be ready to deplane shortly. Brian rises from his seat and stretches his muscles and is very thankful that the plane ride is over. Being a CEO has its perks and its bedsides brain sighs he sits back down and starts to fall back asleep as he is just about to fall asleep, he hears the pilot come across the intercom saying, “attention passengers we will be ready to deplane here shortly please make sure you have all of your belongings, and we want to thank you for joining us on this flight”. Brian grabs his coat and briefcase, turns to his flight attendant, and thanked her for being so kind. When he goes to walk out of the plane, He looks up and sees His Favorite Uncle Peter. He has a huge smile on his face as he walks down the stairs. He Embraces Peter in a large hug. He then turns to Hug his aunt Madison and cousins Courtney and Becky. He looks at his Uncle Peter and says, “How have you been it has been way too long since I have been able to come to see you all”. His Uncle Peter lovingly looks at him saying “You definitely got that right! You have been away so long you haven’t had the chance to meet anyone”. Brian is thinking to himself” I guess now wouldn’t e the right opportunity to ask about the gift, I guess I will have to ask him at a better time. I wonder what he would say”.
