Dogfight

The Great Escape

   After Cozbi rips through the fence she shifts. It was fast but sloppy and extremely painful seeing as how she hasn't surfaced in seven years or was to be expected. I was trying to avoid her shifting because of all the eyes on us but it's too late now. I grab my mate and jump through the fence. I look around and enjoy the chaos I have caused but soon filled with disappointment because I can not relish in these peoples fear. The fact that the monster has escaped and is now loose among them. 

   We see some people running out a door on the second story and a bright light shines through. Azazel holds onto my snout and I try to be careful not to hurt him. We burst through the door and even though it is dark outside there are so many security lights it looks to be day.

   The alarms are bellowing and you can hear trackers in the distance. I set azazel down on the ground and shift back. I watch his eyes wash over my body causing a smile to play on my lips seeing his approval. 

   "Can you shift?" I ask and Azazel blushes but nods his head yes. 

   "Good my name is Jess and I need you to listen carefully. We are going to go opposite directions they will be coming after me. When you leave go up the mountain and about mid way up there will be a cave. Hide there but no more than two days. I should be there but if I'm not go to the nearest village and find a way to get far from here." I say and then kiss Azazel's cheek surprising him. "I didn't think you'd ever show up" I say with a smile 

   Azazel says nothing just gives me a small smile nods and runs into the forest. I see a small group of gaurds running towards us making both my wolves growl and the ground shake. Some of them Coward back. One stands out more than the others though... Chronos. 

   "Well look who's finally out of her cage." He says with a wicked grin on his face. I go into defense stance trying to find a way to escape too. I just got united with my mate I want to get to know him. We are in an open field and I'm naked as a Jay bird while I can feel everyone's eyes raking over my body. Cozbi let's out a nasty snarl. It's now just Chronos and I no one else will get involved. 

   "You know you'll always be mine Jess whether you like it or not." He says like he's already won.i spit at his feet something he hates and sets him over edge. Chronos comes at me kicking me in my ribs then brings his fist to my temple knocking me to the ground. I sweep my foot under his feet which he saw coming and jumped back but this action gave me a few moments to regain my strength.  I'm back in defense mode and as he runs at my Cora extends he claws slicing open his side. He looks at me in shock with his hand on his stomach which causes a grin to spread across my face and wave him to come forward. Chronos tackles me to the ground and starts reigning down punch after punch and right when I thought I would meet my maker another powerful aura reverberates through the forest. 

   No sounds are made by the air is thick with power. Chronos is livid because someone dared to interrupt this moment. I'm still on the ground looking sideways to the forest and Chronos on top of me when a massive wolf breaks through the trees line. He is tan that fades to black with the most captivating gold eyes. Cora and Cozbi both were howling and panting for their mate and I don't blame them he is gorgeous and bigger than any alpha I've met. His human form is tall and slender but this form is tall and stout. He almost looks like a freight train.  Azazel comes running towards us with everything he had running into Chronos knocking him a unconscious giving us our chance to escape. 

   We ran till we reached the cave I told Azazel to hide in earlier to get a few hours of sleep seeing as how were both exausted. There is a small creek that runs outside of it which we took a good long drink from. The ground was hard but I felt safe resulting in the best sleep over ever had.

   We let our mate carry us so she feels accomplished and we are hiding in the tree line. I refuse to just walk away especially after I just found her but I don't want her feeling like she can't fight her own battles. When I see the man throwing punch after punch down upon her it pissed Cole and myself off we busted through the tree line and took what was ours leaving the man unconscious. 

Once we made it to the cave she fell asleep almost instantly. I ran my fingers through her hair with contentment.  "Thank you a again mom Goddess she's perfect."
