Put Me In My Place

   I wake up to a stirring behind my back and I realize Azazel's arms are wrapped around me. He's whimpering and saying "please" I role my eyes and think to myself "great the moon Goddess has blessed me with another weak mate" when Cora chimes in "You don't know what he's been through to make him like that"

   "Listen Cora I'm not going to reject him but we need to protect ourselves because once he sees the monster we are he won't want to stick around." Hearing this makes Cora whimper and Cozbi just huffs and turns her head. 

   I get up and Azazel is now flailing his arms and legs. It makes my heart break a little seeing my mate broken like this but so am I. I go out to find a water source when I run into a creek and find a empty plastic bottle that has floated down stream. I splash the water on my face and after having my fill of water I fill the bottle and take it to my mate. 

   He is now sweating and thrashing around. I roll my eyes and get on my knees so I can shake his shoulders. "Wake up" I say and splash a little water on him.  While he was thrashing he accidentally hit me on my nose making me fall back and I give an irritated growl. I regain my composure and grab hold of his shoulders and yell "Wake up!"  

   He still doesn't wake up so I grab the bottle I brought up and look at it for a few seconds when I hear Cozbi snicker "well we did bring water for mate" She says 

   "Don't you dare!" Yells Cora. I feel a sinister grin play across my lips as I know I've already made up my decision tipping the cold water upside down drenching my mate. 

   Azazel jolts awake his chest heaving until he looks at me. He starts to rub the back of his neck giving me this boyish grin and I must confess my plan backfired a little. The way his wet t-shirt clung to his body was beautiful. He was slender and he wore loose fitting clothes but he had a six pack hiding under there with a delectable V-line.This view even caught Cozbi's attention.she perked her head up and licked her chops while Cora bounced around. 

   "So how did you sleep?" He asked trying to avoid this awkward moment which brought me back to reality. I'm a monster and when he finds this out he will reject me just like the last one.

   "We need to get moving" I say trying not to show any emotion

   "Ok love where to..." I cut him off by putting a hand up to stop him from walking. 

   "Let's get one thing clear" I say then I brush my hair out of my face with the hand that was on his chest. "Yes we are mates but that doesn't mean I trust you" we all felt this way but saying it outloud along with the look on his face hurt us. "Our last mate rejected us and if given enough time you'll see we are a monster" He growled at me and I seen his teeth extend which shocked me and kind of turned me on at the same time.

   He pinned me up against the cave wall and he is breathing heavy. I watch his preditorial eyes looking at my lips and even cozbi is joining in. Now all three of us are turned on by his dominating presence. "Let me clear things up I'm not your ex mate and no matter what anyone says I see no monster." Was all the words I needed to hear escape his mouth. 

   I leaned in and just pecked his lips. When I drew back there was a look that gave me a hunger from deep within. We both were filled with desire. I looked deep into his eyes as he did mine and I could feel his tortured soul. I had a need to mend him and I could feel he wanted to do the same. He attacked my lips without warning and I drew his body into mine. 

   I cling to this man as if he is my life line. Cozbi and Cora are both trying to come out at the same time but I hold them back not wanting to scare him off quite yet. He starts to kiss down my neck and my chest. He abruptly stops and looks back up to me as his eyes switch back and forth between him and his wolf catching me off gaurd and letting Cozbi and Cora spring forward. Throwing me to the back of my mind. 

   I start pounding on the walls of my mind for them to let me out but I can't seem to break them down. They both pounce on Azazel and his eyes are wide. "Jess?" He questions. I can see panic in his eyes and I become frantic. I hope the two of them can still hear me. "If you two can't control yourselves you're going to run him off before he even gets a chance to know us." I yell. 

   Cozbi lifts her head to look at me and huffs a little but sees the truth with the scared expression on our mate. Cozbi nudges Cora "come on Cora look at him we need to back off a bit he needs time" Cora whines at this but they both give me back control with a splitting headache. 

   I'm hunched over my knees holding my head when Azazel comes up and puts his hand on my shoulder. I try pulling away due to shame and embarrassment but he sets behind me and pulls me to him. 

   "I'm sorry you had to see that" I say with my head down. 

   "Don't be sorry it just surprised us is all" He says while petting my head. We sit in silence for a few minutes while he holds me stroking my hair. "So may I ask why your eyes were three different colors instead of just two?" He asks. I sigh because I knew this was bound to happen I was just hoping it wouldn't be so soon. 

   "I actually have two wolves Cora who is the more cheerful one and sees the good in everyone and Cozbi who hates everyone equally. They are both alpha's which can make it hard to control."

   "I didn't think a wolf could take over unless they shifted" He says shocked

   "Well they aren't supposed to which is why the council had place me in the dogfights" I want supposed to make it this long. They only knew about Cora because Cozbi has been in hiding for close to seven years."

   He has a hurt expression on his face. "That sounds painful" he says brushing a strand of hair out of my face. 

   I think back to what I did to my parents. "I deserved it" I say as I feel tears run down my cheeks.

   "What do you mean love?" 

   I wipe my face and shake the memories free. "That story is for another time. Right now we need to get going or we're bound to get caught."
