THIRD PERSON POV
Lilith walks to the school’s hall way, she found her locker and put her books in and took the ones she needed for her class. Lilith checks her timetable and sees she has biology. She enters the classroom unluckily she came in late as her classmates were already there making noise. The front row were empty while the back seat were taken, the back row are filled with the higher ups. Rachael is the queen of Preston high, Lilith could not understand why people admire her and she almost slapped herself when she remembered her too was guilty. Rachael is the definition of mean, insensitive and dumb. She was seated on the lap of West, known as the right hand man you might be wondering why? Well in the so call hierarchy there is a much higher up, higher than the upper class known as the “Alphas”. The Alphas are the richest in the country, also known as the untouchables. In this group we have the right hand man West and the main leader Axel.
“Lilith, come here” Rachael the girl she always wanted to impress called her, looking at her with an innocent childlike look which Lilith would have fallen for before. Lilith looked around and noticed that all eyes are on her. She narrows her eyes on Rachael the girl who made her life a living hell and deceived her.
About taking a step forward, the teacher comes in and Lilith went back to the seat far away from Rachael and her group and also from the teacher.
Lilith could barely concentrate on the class, thinking about how she can get a job as she did not have a high school certificate yet and without anyone knowing her identity.
=========
It was time for lunch. Lilith dreaded going to the school’s cafeteria. The school cafeteria is like a family gathering all the classes from grade 7-12 are gathered there. There is no division the principal thought it was a good idea to have the entire school come together during lunch time to get to know one another. He did not think about the disadvantage, as in more chance and opportunity for bullying and exertion of power. Lilith walks into the school cafeteria, the noise causing her headache. She looks around trying to find her brother in the process trying to find a spot away from the popular peers. As usual the popular tables are filled with Rachael, Ace, West, Jacob, Matthew and their minions. Lilith felt bitter when she remembered how desperate she acted to get into the supposed popular group. Blocking away the negative thoughts, she continues her search for her brother.
Sighting her brother, a smile forms on her lips but quickly turned to a frown when she sees her brother on his knees with his hands holding a book and raised up. She quickly went to the place her brother is looking at her brother once again his cloth wet and stained his mouth bruised and his eyes closed.
She clenched her hands in anger
“William what are you doing?” Lilith asked through gritting teeth
William opens his eyes, blinking his eyes while trying to adjust to the light. He looks up and sees his sister he rolls his eyes and closes them back.
“Just leave Lilith” William reply, his hands begin to shake probably for raising them for a long period of time. Lilith sees this and her anger amplifies
“Tell me who did this?” Lilith yells while taking and throwing the book away from her brother’s hands, trying to get him to get up,
“Will you just quit it and stop pretending like you care!” William shouts in anger while getting up. The school cafeteria was too noisy everybody doing their own thing and paying no attention to what was happening between the two siblings.
“What are you talking about William, of course I do care” Lilith said gently trying to reach out and touch her brother’s face but her hand get slapped in the process.
“Oh Shut up! Just because you said some few words yesterday do you think it will make up for the years of neglect? If it is like that, policemen won’t be needed! You always turned blind eyes to whenever this thing happens, so what makes it different now?” William seethed while looking at his sister with hate.
It all came back to Lilith like a flashback when she suddenly remembers how she always pretended to not know her brother when they came to school. How she joined the popular peers to bully her brother and other kids that were not rich and also considered nerds, she then realizes she is no different.
She knew how wrong she is and felt 100 times guilty for her actions. Her brother’s anger is justified she deserves it. Lilith felt like she has no right to get angry at her brother for his words. With resolution
“You are right, words will not prove my sincerity or how sorry I am. My actions will and I hope one day you will forgive me but until that day reach I will prove to you I meant every word I said last night.” Lilith said stretching her hands forward and grabbing William’s arm.
William was confused by what his sister said, he knew it was not her fault for his current situation. But she was the only person there he could blame. His confusion multiplied when his sister suddenly grabbed his hands, pushing them through the crowd of students. He struggled to get out of her grasp, but she was too strong. He looked and his eyes widen when he found himself and his sister in front of the popular people table.
Lilith knows what has to be done. She made her way to the popular peers’ table. Her anger increases more when she saw them laughing with no care in the world, like they were not ruining and making peoples’ life unbearable for them. She looks and sees Rachel on Axel’s lap trying to lay claim on him she guessed. She looks and sees Jacob the supposed guy her parents are trying to set her up with for their selfish benefit. She remembers that because of wanting to gain recognition from her parents and be accepted into the group she slept with him and lost her virginity. She felt bitter when she sees no one was paying her any attention.
“Who did this?”
