"Wait a minute....You know Aidan..?" -Sara

"Do you think anyone and their mother is allowed clearance to the top floor?" -Handsome Stranger

"I...Hadn't thought of that..." -Sara

Just as you begin to re-evaluate your companion , the elevator groans to life and begins climbing once more.

"About time." -Handsome Stranger

'Maybe i can ask for some advice before we get-out. This could be my last chance to get an edge...' -Sara mind voice

But it's too late. The light above the doors dings loudly and they slide open. Instead of exiting, he moves so close she can smell his sandalwood cologne. Her hands brace against the elevator wall as he leans in.

"Good luck Kansas, you have got some spunk." -Handsome Stranger

His lips move to her ear. His voice a low whisper.

"But that won't be enough." -handsome Stranger

Without another word he disappeares in to the corridors of the upper floor.

'Mark that down as strangest. Potentially sexiest elevator ride of my life. Who the hell was that guy...?' -Sara mind voice

Billionair's Secret 1
'Well...Today is the Day... After six months of collecting unemployment , it is the time to break back into the art world even if it's an assistant position...This year was no picnic but I like always say Forget what hurt you, but never what it taught you....I have licked my wounds long enough....It is time for a fresh start... '- Sara She find herself in front of a daunting corporate skyscraper, with "Forest Galleries Inc" boldly enameled above the entry...She about to walk inside when a frenzied woman bursts through the doors and nearly knocks you over.... "Worst interview of my life.... Aidan frost is a monster...." -woman "You just interviewed with Aidan...?You really don't look good...Are you alright? I'm about to head in and don't want to walk out as pissed as you look..." -Sara "Look, Hun, if I couldn't charm the marksman or whatever the hell they call him , fat chance you can...I threw every trick in the book and didn't last five minutes....Think i would wear this skirt for anyone ? I even nailed the bend and snap.... Best advice, turn around and crawl back home... I would rather lick stamps than work for a guy like that...." -Woman She storms out without another word , leaving you wide eyed in her wake... 'Right...Sounds like I'm in for a treat...' -Sara She steps into the lobby and scan for a receptionist....Finding none, her attention turns to a duo in crisp suit arguing with one another... 'Those suits must have cost a grand a peice.... What the hell am I even doing here...? ' -Sara (in her mind) "Christ, Mitchel !! The marksman tore us apart in there...Why didn't you finish the charts? " _Business Woman "I thought a basic spread would be enough... How much data does he need...?" -Business man "You know he is a shark for details... We will be lucky if we're ever allowed another pitch again... You really s**t the bed today..." -Business Woman 'Sounds like the marksman's been brightening everyone's day...' -Sara(in her mind) "The guy is a genius but I could never live like that....The company is his entire world..." - business man "There we can agree. Could you imagine dating him...? He is literally married to his work... " -Business Woman Their voices raise as they resume their argument...They notice Sara's curious stare and glance over coldly.... "Can we help you, Skirt...?" -Business man 'Skirt...? I that how I'm going to be spoken to here...?' -Sara (mind voice ) "Sounds like your meeting went well suits...?" -Sara "And what the hell would you know? You look like fresh meat in cheap shoes...." -Business Woman "Look, I'm just here to interview...Any idea where the receptionist is...?" -Sara "Probably crying on the metro-he just fired her. Might want to catch that elevator though... The marksman doesn't like his prey today...." - Business man She look to an elevator on the side of the lobby just as a man steps through the cold steel doors before they begin to close. "Hold the door...." Sara Ignoring your frantic plea, the man presses a button several times, attempting to close the door. 'What a jerk...!! I'll....' -Sara (mind voice) She put her arm between the door to stop closing and her arm get hurt... "Ouchh...!!" -Sara She dust herself off, doing her best not to school daggers at the stranger who tried to shut her out of the elevator. "That's cute..." -Handsome Stranger "Excuse me.?" -Sara She turn to the stranger. Every trace of muscle strains against his suit, his figure a granite like compliment to his stony expressions. The elevator begins to climb with a low, metallic hum. He speaks without looking at her. "All dressed up and rushing for an appointment. But why bother? You clearly late Kansas "-Handsome Stranger "Kansas....?" -Sara "I'm sure I didn't stutter....Whatever you're here for....You may as well click those cheap heals and wish yourself home... " -Handsome Stranger 'So now I'm Dorothy in Oz...? What's next flying monkeys...??' -Sara (mind voice ) "And who are you supposed to be, the Tin man? Heartless move, not holding the door..." -Sara "Does that make you the scarecrow...?" -Handsome Stranger "You think you're hot you can insult a complete stranger? " -Sara The man's eyebrows raises for a fraction of a second before he settled back into an icy demeanor. "Was that some sort of cheap pass..? You really are lost little girl..." -Handsome Stranger Her cheeks go red, but she resign herself to silence. 'This guy isn't getting under my skin. Time to lock it and focus.' -Sara "Floor..?" -Handsome Stranger 's**t, need a card for the top floor. I don't want this jerk to know I don't have access...I will let him go first and figure it out afterward...' -Sara (mind voice ) "Oh Right...After you Sir." -Sara His necks twitches as if the title shot through him... 'Hm...What was that about...? Did he like that...?' -Sara (mind voice ) He runs his fingers up all of the buttons, selecting the top floor. She find the motion odd but stay quiet. "What a coincidence...That's where I'm going..." -Sara "There is a surprise. New cleaning lady? " -Handsome Stranger Her cheeks go white hot and she turn to fire back. Her words catch in her throat as his penetrating strate seems to burn into her. She reflexively bite her lips as she scan his pronounced jaw, high cheek bones, and finally his eyes. There is something there. A hint of.... 'Sadness...? I will hold his gaze ' -Sara (mind voice) ...... (Silence) 'It's like he is looking through me. If he wasn't so cold i would say he is handsome. Unfairly handsome. Is he...Smirking...?' -Sara (mind voice) A sudden grinding sound brings the elevator to a halt. The hair on the back of her neck stands up as the lights go out. "Damn..!!" -Handsome Stranger The service phone rings and the man finds it instantly , even in the pitch dark. A muffled voice can be heard on the other line.. "Explain... Yes...That's fairly evident. What...? Is there anyone else here..?" -Handsome Stranger He looks at her way, cooly. "No. Just me. Right-well hurry up..." -Handsome Stranger "What the hell..??!!" -Sara "Oh Kansas...You're still here..." -Handsome Stranger "No shit...! I'm still here....Do i even exist..?" -Sara "It would appear so, sadly. " -Handsome Stranger "Well, prince charming - care to share with the class? What'd the building supervisor say.?" -Sara "We're stuck..." -Handsome Stranger 'This guy....' -Sara (mind voice ) "I didn't think grinding metal was part of the ambiance." -Sara "With an attitude like that, I'm sure you will go far some day... Let's just hope you stay there..." -Handsome Stranger "I vote we play the silent game until someone gets us moving again. Deal?" -Sara "There's an idea i can get behind. After you. " -Handsome Stranger 'Great ! Stuck in an elevator with the world's biggest jackass. Now I'll definitely be late for my interview.' -Sara (mind voice) A few awkward minutes go by. The stranger leans against the wall wearing an annoyed expression and toying with his watch. The speakers crackle jarringly before classical music blares loudly through them. "Ah!!" -Sara "Jumpy...Huh?" -Handsome Stranger "Not at all. Atleast there is something to drown your voice out. Let's get back to our game." -Sara An hour goes by and she grow increasingly restless from the wait. Music continues to pump through the speakers. 'I can't believe how long this is taking. Is this a sign to give up? Starbucks is probably hiring...' -Sara (mind voice ) ?Music.....? 'Wait a minute....I know this song....' -Sara mind voice "This is Etudes by Chopin...My mother used to play this to get me to fall asleep..." -Sara Her face flushes as she realize she blurted her thoughts aloud. He regards her with amused curiousity, as if she is an ant under a lens. "I hadn't realized Kansas had an adequate education system. How cultured of you. " -Handsome Stranger "I'm not from Kansas...I'm from...." -Sara "Breaking the rules of the silent game... But since we're already transgressing... What's that scent? Tiger Lily..? Isn't it...? " - Handsome Stranger "Woah....You guessed my perfume. What are you...? A bloodhound? Or may be a snake? Yeah, that's it...Known for their sense of smell." - Sara "It's a lovely scent...Like getting crushed under an entire Yankee candle rack..." -Handsome Stranger "Hilarious..." -Sara (angry face ) "So you're not from Kansas or so you claim , an apparently you're not the cleaning lady. What are you doing here?" -Handsome Stranger She straighten her shoulders before answering with confidence. "Actually I'm here for an interview. With Aidan Frost..." -Sara His head tilts to the side and he seems to regard her in a new light. "Oh really...?" -Handsome Stranger He runs his fingers ponderously through his hair , his bicep bulging against his sleeves as he raises his arm. 'I don't know where that smirk's coming from, but it should be outlawed. The way his lips curl up on one side. Stop it Sara! You can't always fall for the villains. ' "And what have you heard of Aidan Frost..?" Handsome Stranger "Well, they call him the marksman. I guess from his time spent in the military. He pulled his parent's art empire out of the gutter with his brother. And that he is incredibly sexy. A monster, But sexy." -Sara "My kind of guy..." -Handsome Stranger "Didn't get the impression you dabbled. But hey, to each their own. " -Sara "Funny. But what if I told you I did know him particularly well?" -Handsome Stranger "Wait a minute....You know Aidan..?" -Sara "Do you think anyone and their mother is allowed clearance to the top floor?" -Handsome Stranger "I...Hadn't thought of that..." -Sara Just as you begin to re-evaluate your companion , the elevator groans to life and begins climbing once more. "About time." -Handsome Stranger 'Maybe i can ask for some advice before we get-out. This could be my last chance to get an edge...' -Sara mind voice But it's too late. The light above the doors dings loudly and they slide open. Instead of exiting, he moves so close she can smell his sandalwood cologne. Her hands brace against the elevator wall as he leans in. "Good luck Kansas, you have got some spunk." -Handsome Stranger His lips move to her ear. His voice a low whisper. "But that won't be enough." -handsome Stranger Without another word he disappeares in to the corridors of the upper floor. 'Mark that down as strangest. Potentially sexiest elevator ride of my life. Who the hell was that guy...?' -Sara mind voice Before she can put her game face on , her phone vibrates in her pocket with an incoming call from her mother. 'Ugh...What is it now..?It's never good news with mother dearest. Ignote it. ' -Sara mind voice She put her phone on silent and steel herself. 'What ever it is, i can wait...' -Sara mind voice "Ah...You must be Sara! I had hoped you were still coming.." -Alfred "Hi there!" -Sara She step into the hall way and shake hands with an older man. His british accent is lyrical , and his kind, wise eyes reassures her. 'He is like an adorable, old owl...' -Sara mind voice "It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Alfred. As Aidan's steward , i conducted a fair amount of research on your previous works. I must say I'm most impressed. " -Alfred "Thank you Alfred! I'm a bit unimpressed by the facilities. I was stuck in an elevator for an hour with a total jerk. " -Sara "A dreadful calamity indeed. We're most sorry for the inconvenience. " -Alfred "What doesn't kill you. Right..? Is my interview still on? I would assumed Mr.Frost had gotten tired of waiting..." -Sara "Not at all..! He was similarly held up and only just arrived back in the office recently. If you would be so kind as to follow me, I'll brief you along the way. " -alfred Alfred gallantly offers her his arm, and she take it with a smile. After a few steps, she realize she is guiding him. "As you can see dear, I'm not the young, spry salamander i once was. The years have taken their toll." -alfred "I'm willing to bet you have still got some pep in your step, Alfred." -Sara "You flatter me, Sara. Alas, my dancing days are done. Which leads us to why you're here. " -Alfred Alfred comes to a gentle halt and turns to face her. "As I'm unable to continuing offering my services to Mr.Frost, it's imperative that a capable replacement be found to assume my duties. Your resume stuck out from the pile. A rather large pile of poor, unfortunate souls. " -Alfred "Wow...Where the other candidates that bad ? I actually met one on her way out! A blond girl. She didn't look so good. " -Sara "Ah. Yes. She interviewed this morning. Believe it or not, she fared better than most. " -alfred 'That girl was ready to pull her hair out. I can only imagine how the "bad" interviews went. ' -Sara mind voice " If, and I should hope when you pass your interview with Aidan, you will not only assume the role of assisting him with his daily tasks. But also restoring some of his family's priceless art works. That's why you stuck out- your portfolio is quite renowned in the art world. " -Alfred "It was, until my ex slandered my name to our clients. " -Sara "Rest assured , we don't deal in unfounded accusation here. I did extensive research and feel you're the woman for the job. " -Alfred "Is there anything specific i should know about the marksman?" -Sara "Well dear, i must first respectfully inform you that Mr.Frost detests that title. Best to avoid it." -Alfred "Oh...I should remember that..." -Sara "Wise... However there is one more thing you should know..." -Alfred A booming voice slices across the upper floor , sending a shiver down her spine. *"Alfred...Is she ready or not...?"* "Ah. More later dear. Best not to keep him waiting. " -Alfred Alfred offers a gentle smile and motions toward a door at the end of the hall. "Good luck Sara..." -Alfred 'Now or never Sara. Time to show Aidan Frost what you have got. ' -Sara mind voice She close her eyes and take a final, steadying breath before pushing open the ornate door. Her eyes acclimate to the half dark of a pristinely furnished office before landing on a powerfully built man facing the window. She scan his formidable figure intensely. 'Wait...I know the shoulders...' -Sara mind voice Slowly he turns to face her, a familiar smirk splayed across his lips. "You're late, Kansas." -Aidan
