Maddie woke up to the sound of clicking, clinking and hushed voices downstairs which meant that Sara and Mindy were awake and preparing themselves for another day at the beauty pageant and she really wasn't interested. She raised her upper body and saw that she was lying on some sort of mess because of yesterday, after having her cake and juice she went downstairs for more snacks and watched Grey's Anatomy while thinking about Cee-Jay and what will happen when Monday comes. She didn't even change to her PJs or try to remove the make-up but at least she felt well rested, she got up and went to clean herself up, she took her time knowing that by the time she is done cleaning up after herself Mindy and Sara will be gone. Of course her prediction was right, after cleaning up the house was silent mann they didn't even say goodbye or attempt to wake her up. She went downstairs to eat and she saw that they had prepared some eggs and bacon for her I guess that was good enough for goodbye and her mom left some note that read hope your day is wonderful. She would have squashed and threw it in the trash if it wasn't from her mom because of how mad and disappointed she was at her but Maddie has never been the kind of kid to lose anything that her mom gave her and if you don't believe you should go to the bottom of her closet, there are at least two boxes filled with letters and notes that her mom has written for in all her twenty one years and then there are some boxes filled with objects, and some super weird stuff that her mom had collected during some vacations they took or any other kind of trips and you should see her sadness when things like flowers from her mom die, she would cry herself to sleep, yep she is super emotional. All of the above were the reason why her mother never got her a puppy or any kind of animal because Sara knew that if Maddie lost that she would be downright depressed.
She read the note again and thought another thing to collect but no Mom my day will be shitty forget my day, my entire weekend will be a disappointment and it will not be a relaxing one and that is all thanks to that motherf****r Cee-Jay. As she sat down to eat breakfast all her head was doing was creating scenarios on how Cee-jay was going to emotionally scar her this time.
In other news at the King's mansion it was a quite and relaxing Saturday but of course not for Ruby because well she works for Mr King and that son of a bi*ch well that was according to her was one annoying boss. The only advantage about weekends was that she didn't have to wake him up he will do that himself and really they didn't have to talk much because after every meal he would go to his study and create more work for her. By the time it was morning she would be working twice as much because he decided to open his study all the way to his bedroom and leave it as much as a mess as is is study. Also the weekends were for him to hit his gym room so that he can keep in shape and yes he would walk to the dining area all sweaty and stinky without his shirt on might I add to have a healthy smoothie before he showers. As soon as he walked down those stairs Ruby finally understood why all the maids were working so close to each other and in one area. Ruby gulped as she ogled her boss and her palms were getting sweaty hell she wasn't even blinking. Now Silas took pleasure in knowing that all these ladies were definitely dying to have him in his bed tonight because even before Ruby started working here he loved doing this, he knew all the ladies would gather here even Gertrude who was in charge of the antiques of the Kings Family, she was old and married but that didn't stop her from coming in here to stare and maybe fantasize about him. Of course that made him a little bit uncomfortable but it really stroked and made his ego bigger knowing that he can turn on old married women and don't get him started on Javier the chef, yep he would make an excuse to be in here too so that he can ogle him, Javier was gay so that really made Silas King feel on top of the world. He blew on Ruby's eyes and finally she blinked as tears rolled down her face as soon as she felt them she cast her head down and wiped them. She looked back up and saw that Silas was standing damn near close to her so she held her breath and took a step back, then she realized that was not going to be enough for the heat in her to be extinguished so she took a couple more and that is where she hit Javier with her back and immediately turned around.
"Javier?" she was confused "what are you doing in this area?" she was baffled and then she looked at what he was holding, it was the smoothie and a bowl of nuts she requested "are you delivering those?" she pointed at the trey and Javier vigorously nodded. Ruby was still confused Javier never and I mean never left the kitchen so how is this possible? "Buuuuuut..... I always fetch the...." she couldn't finish the sentence because she was still trying to figure it all out and she stood there while thinking about it until Silas said "Can I have my smoothie now?" Ruby snapped out of it but Javier had already gone past her and handed the trey to Silas that is when she noticed how he was checking him out. Javier had a backbone after all she thought to herself as he wouldn't rip his eyes away from his abs and biceps while he walked away. Ruby was stunned to see that the only way Javier finally stopped looking at Silas was when he disappeared into the kitchen and she laughed so loud inside her head while her face displayed the most wide eyed smile ever. Ruby decided her work was done in here considering everyone was here for the Mr King Special so she was about to go see Anne-Marie, she really hoped that today Anne-Marie was at least in somewhat a good mood and well her wish was fulfilled because as soon as she entered Anne-Marie hugged her and yelled "Hey Bestie!" she was excited and Ruby knew that today would be a good day to take her so that they could do some gardening and relax thereafter maybe with a cup of tea and her favorite ginger biscuit and when she asked her bestie Anne-Marie was so excited about the idea that she couldn't wait to go bathe and get this show started.
Anne-Marie wore her red old woman robe, she loved that robe and her flip flops that her generous grandson got for her, she wanted to feel beautiful and young I guess because she asked Ruby to put her hair in a hairband and put some flower on her and she looked herself in the mirror and loved it because she smiled widely. They descended the stairs hand in hand looking like a mother- daughter badass duo and the other workers seemed sufficiently jealous. Turns out Silas was still downstairs and still shirtless but as soon as he saw his Grams, he was surprised and little bit annoyed he took one of the throw pillows and covered his chest then approached the duo "Scotts what are you doing?" he asked in a stern voice and Ruby looked at him a mild confusion. Silas smiled at his Grams and she smiled back "your boyfriend looks handsome." she commented and Ruby immediately shook her head "Nope he is definitely not!" she exclaimed "that is your grandson Silas King." she said. As soon as she said that she felt a sharp pain in her stomach thinking about her own family and how much she missed the woman who raised her. Anne-Marie thought about it for some time and looked at Silas "why is he naked?" Ruby smiled and looked at Silas who was clearly uncomfortable and a bit hurt, after some time you would think one gets used to their loved one being terminally ill but nobody ever does and Ruby understood him in a way that he didn't know she did. "So why are you naked Mr. King?" Ruby was clearly having fun at his uncomfortableness "I'm not naked." he smiled awkwardly and Ruby shrugged. Anne-Marie pulled Ruby "let's go the flowers miss me." and she was following her but Silas got in her way "woah, woah woah.... flowers??" he was looking for clarity "yes flowers, we going to the garden." she told him and he shook his head "no you are not!" he was clear about that, Ruby was confused "why not?" she asked "because it is dangerous for her." at this point Ruby wanted to annoyingly laugh at his ignorance but she thought let me hear him out "so what should we do?" she asked him and Silas thought about it "I don't know but no activities outside." Ruby shook her head at his ignorance and said "well she was the one who wanted to go to the garden." Silas looked at his grandma who was looking outside with a smile so he nodded but in his head he was going to lash out on Ruby as soon as his Grams goes back to sleep.
Anne-Marie and Ruby had a blast in the garden and to say Granny King was elated would be an understatement, she even shared a few stories that she remembered about her early years and a few about Mr. King himself it was too bad she didn't remember much about her daughter who is Mr. King's mother or she didn't know how much her grandson has succeeded. She got upset when she got to the part of her starting to get sick and the death of her one and only daughter that's when Ruby knew it was time to pack it up and put her to sleep. After doing so she was summoned to the study and she went as soon as she entered Mr. King dropped everything and gave her an earful that if she wasn't an adult she would have definitely broken into tears then he ended with "you are dismissed." she turned around to leave but then a thought popped into her head. She turned around and started packing up the books that Silas had left laying around the study like he always does. Silas looked at her then chose to ignore her but after five minutes Ruby looking over his shoulder "I think you should sign." Silas looked at her "what?" she shrugged "I mean that document need your signature right?" she asked and he nodded "then sign it." she commanded more than she suggested and Silas looked at her like she was a moron because in that moment all he saw was one "I need to read through it first." he explained thinking that he was doing her a favor by educating her a little bit about contracts "but the person who gave it to you already summarized it right?" she asked and he nodded "then sign it." she commanded again and Silas was annoyed at her level of incompetence and for the first time since her employment begun he wondered why she was hired. "When it comes to contracts you have to read them by yourself before you sign." he tried not to lose his cool when explaining such basic knowledge to an adult. She nodded and said "I know that." then she went back to clearing the books and Silas went back to his work.
Ruby handed Silas a book and said "read that." Silas looked at her with no patience at all "what is this?" he asked holding the book in his hand "ohh that is one of the books you usually read, I thought it's about time you read it now." she answered with a smile and Silas dropped the book to the floor with a straight face "Leave please." he was trying to be sweet since he lashed out on her earlier but Ruby picked up the book and said "Read the book." Silas just stared at her trying to figure out what she was doing and after a minute of silence "it's upsetting isn't it?" she asked and Silas raised his eyebrows in question "what?" he followed with a question "when someone who doesn't know your job suddenly thinks they know better than you." she replied in the most condescending tone ever and Silas thought about it and nodded "good now remember that feeling next time you feeling itchy to tell me how to do my job!" she exclaimed clearly upset as she stood up and left his office. Silas was left kind of upset, annoyed and surprised I mean if she had went off on him like that in front of other workers. Silas sat there for a good ten minutes trying to sort through his mixed emotions and when he couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was he was feeling he went back to work. After five minutes of not being able to focus on his work he stood up and picked up a few books then packed them to their shelf that's when he realized what he was doing then he thought to himself with a smile that dinner will surely be interesting.
