07. Jasmine

"Why are you looking at me like that?"  Rosy asked Silas as they were having breakfast and Silas just stared at her with no response  "you literally have been looking at me like that for the whole weekend."  she added trying to get him to react or say something. Silas smirked as his head was coming up with all sorts of ideas to make her question herself more  "well do you have something to say?"  he asked her and she was confused for a moment  "what would you think that?"  she was genuinely trying to think what possible signs she could have given that she had something to say but nothing came to mind and that put a devilish smile on our dear Mr. King  "I don't know you tell me.... after all I'm not the one who cried when I was openly drooling over my half naked self."  he shrugged and smiled with satisfaction as Rosy chocked on the Orange Juice. She coughed a couple of more times than she was actually supposed to trying to remember why she actually cried. Silas leaned in with anticipation of her nervous answer, he couldn't put a finger on it either but he was somewhat having fun doing this with her.  Rosy collected her thoughts  "Well I didn't cry, I was just staring so long that the tears kind of....."  she stopped talking when she realized that answer was as embarrassing crying on his half nakedness, she cleared her throat as Silas smiled waiting for her to be embarrassed again  "What I meant was as I was staring I forgot to blink so....."  she tilted her head at the words that were coming out of her mouth as she was thinking deeply. Silas was satisfied with her answers and thought it was time to go to work so he leaned in even more and with the lowest voice he could conjure after having some hot bagels and warm milk he said into her ear  "You forgot how to blink huh.."  then he blew air into the very same ear and that made Rosy jump with surprise. She sure was about to say something in her defense but Silas stood up and gulped what remained of his milk then he walked away from the scene of his crime. Now Rosy wasn't so much as flustered as she was expected to be but rather just flatline disappointed in herself that she missed the opportunity to match that energy, she could clearly make him as uncomfortable if not more as he did her but here in front of Mr. King she became a blabbering mess, how was she ever going to get her dignity back?" 

Silas was not expecting a call from Maddie, she was definitely free until Wednesday  "what is it Brig-"  before he could even finish that sentence Maddie was already panicking from the other side of the phone  "Mr. King sir."  she was being a little over the top respectful  "Don't tell me you forgot any important documents!?"  he exclaimed trying to think of anything that Briggs could have messed up and he was trying to calcula-  even his thoughts were disturbed by Maddie's begging  "Please, Please, please let me come to work today?"  she was not asking but begging and Silas didn't have time to play her game  "Go to school Briggs and be a young person."  he hung up on her thinking what kind of young person likes work, when literally all they want to do is party their youth away. He sure knew that he missed the days where he was the man in the moon, unreachable yet all the ladies still tried to get him to sleep with them. I mean he was still desirable even now and a lot of ladies still want at least a one night stand with him but he was still the man in the moon. He answered his phone again to Maddie begging him to let her go to work today  "Briggs I will put you in my blocklist if you insist on playing this game."  he told her and she said  "No, please don't hang up I just need you to call me to work please..."  Maddie felt like Silas didn't understand her situation but all he did was hung up on her and  she would have called again but that would be strike three and she would be blocked.

Extremely sad and stressed and also clearly on the verge of a mental breakdown wore Maddie whatever she could land her eyes on and went down the stairs violently and didn't even greet or say goodbye to anybody as she shut the door on her way out.  "Wow she is extremely mad."  Mindy made an observation and her mother nodded in agreement  "yeah I get that but what's with her looking like a Christmas tree?"  Sara was concerned about her daughter who left wearing all the colors of the rainbow and not in a good way.  "wait are you saying she doesn't always look like that everyday?"  Mindy tried to make a joke and Sara would have laughed if Maddie wasn't mad at her for completely cancelling her birthday weekend  "finish your breakfast so we can leave."  Sara scolded her.

Maddie headed straight for her first lecture today instead of walking around listening to music like she usually does. She sat at the top where she thought she was too far away to be recognized and she would probably sneak away as soon as class is over like she never attended the class. It was too bad that Hanna was not taking this lecture with her, she really needed her in this class so bad especially today. As she was sitting there thinking about it and stressing over it a very stupid but doable thought came to mind. She thought that she could approach Cee-Jay and then tell him off also remind him that as much as he wants to embarrass her for Friday, he clearly had a good time with her or it seemed so to her. She scratched her head in thought trying to better her plan, maybe she could approach him and say "what will people think when they found out you had a beautiful girl with you and you didn't even get a kiss."   that would definitely threaten his spot as the ultimate playboy right?  Maddie paused on her thoughts and smiled like a mad woman when she realized that she called herself beautiful, Well she did feel gorgeous that night and not to forget sexy as f**k! Maddie stood up with bravery and thought she would figure out what to say to him as soon as he found him and see him face to face. she walked around campus trying to find a queue of women because that is exactly where he would be. She walked and walked until she bumped into Malcom coming from the bathroom  "Hey Malcom!"  she yelled trying to hold on to her bravery, Malcom looked at her like she was an alien when she asked   "where is Cee-Jay?"  for a minute he was disorientated but then he later wished he could have recorded that in case she might deny it all  "why are you looking for him?"  he asked her and she raised her eyebrow as her courage was running out  "None of your business you useless dickhead."  she cursed  "well he is busy so scram."  Malcom shoe'd her like a dog. Maddie lightly slapped his stupid annoying face  "where is Cee-Jay you useless piece of s**t!?"  Maddie turned to cursing whenever she was near a breakdown of any kind and as much as she would like to control that she really cant.

Malcom took her straight to Cee-Jay and when she got there as she expected  he was surrounded by women like he was a damn celebrity. Maddie took a few breaths and treated this like a swimming tournament, so she held her breath as passed through the possible Lucy's, Candaces and maybe Millie's  "Hi Cee-Jay."  she said as she suddenly appeared in his face and trying not to breathe too loudly  "Can we talk?"  she asked politely and everyone looked at her because she was looking horrible. Cee-Jay looked at her from head to toe and realized she has finally went crazy  "can we do that later?"  he asked  "I'm in a middle of something important."  Maddie looked around and realized this was his regular routine what was special about this lot besides doesn't he want to talk about Jasmine?  "You are such a bad liar."  she commented  "Now can we just have a sidebar for like five minutes?"  she asked again and Cee-Jay remembered when Tyler told him that Maddie sometimes goes crazy when she is overwhelmed. Cee-Jay thought this could benefit his friend after all it means Maddie still cares about him. "Okay now I know you think you won but really think about it, if people find out you will definitely be ruined and then I would have to bear the consequences of even being so near you which is eww and giving me goosebumps and not in a good way."  she paused her blabbering so that she can catch a breath.  "Now as I was saying I do-"  she was put on hold by Jace running   "Yhoo boy I think I found her!"  he was all excited and smiley  "How so?"  Cee-Jay asked because he knows that any girl would lie saying their his Jasmine just because their names are Jasmine.  "Well she said that you guys were at the pub right next to the campus and she was wearing a backless maroon dress with a very high thigh slit."  Jace finished that proud of himself and Maddie knew that sounded familiar  "Oh My God!"  Cee-Jay yelled with excitement   "Yhoo bro I just found Jasmine!"  he was so happy that the two of the hugged and Maddie just watched because first of all she was the Jasmine that Cee-Jay was with on Friday.

"Look Maddie I know you worried about Tyler but as soon as he is ready I will tell him to call you."  he patted her head  "what the hell are you talking about?"  Maddie was disgusted at the thought that they actually think she was worried about Tyler, I mean she wasn't okay with the fact that he was injured but she definitely didn't care about seeing or meeting him, the thought alone  made her shudder  "well you came blabbering and you clothes look like a Lapricon puked you out and deserted you and I don't even want to know what's underneath that beanie."  Maddie felt judged, she was used to bad comments about her dressing from her Mindy, her Best Friend Hanna and sometimes her mom but the way Cee-Jay just explicitly shamed her really hit something different  "So what does that have to do with me worrying about Tyler?"  she still had the energy to deny all allegations that she cared about Tyler whatsoever.  "Briggs Let's make this short I have a very interesting girl-" he paused and said  "Nope let me correct that I have a very interesting woman to see again."  Maddie didn't care about that he just wanted to make sure he understood that she was over Tyler  "Yeah I get that but don't tell Tyler nothing!"  she said in a stern and what she thought was a scary voice she could do  "okay you can stop pretending."  he told her  "Even Tyler knows you still love him, he has been waiting for you."  Maddie was getting bored of this conversation  "you know what go and w***e around you imbecile!"  she yelled curses to him and Cee-Jay smoothly did a 180 and left the scene. After Maddie had calmed down she realized she didn't get the chance to address the whole Jasmine thing but also Cee-Jay didn't seem to know it was her. Huh she thought to herself maybe right now he is too preoccupied with some bi*ch he will probably forget about her in a few days. She took a deep breath in and thought she had a couple more days to figure this whole Jasmine s**t out and convince Cee-Jay it was also in his best interest to zip it.
