09. How it started...

Ruby woke up not feeling okay today, she feel a lot nauseous and she felt like she was going to faint as she's making her way to Silas's bedroom and what a surprise he is still asleep. She knew she was his personal alarm but he should at least have a real alarm that will wake him up.  "Mr. King you have work to do!"  She immediately yells at him today Ruby didn't have no time to start off sweet. He doesn't even move or turn  "are you dead?"  she walks over to his bed and he removes the covers from his face with a smirk  "How would I answer that if I was dead?"  he asked and Ruby sighed in annoyance.

"Ruby"  Silas called for Ruby and she took an immediate sharp turn  "what did you just say."  he smirked again  "Ruby."  with his one eyebrow raised. For some reason Ruby had forgotten she was nauseous and on the verge of vomiting and she approached his bed  "Since when do you call me by name?"  she asked him trying to figure out what his game was  "Come closer and I'll tell you."  he whispered wickedly. He immediately pulled her in by her hands as soon as she was within his reach and she abruptly landed on his bare chest  "hey Ruby"  he said in his hoarse sexy morning voice and she sure would have been turned on by that alone if only his hot morning breath didn't hit her  nose and she puked all over him and his bed.

After she puked out whatever it is, Ruby started feeling dizzy and although Silas was near her screaming at me her, she couldn't hear him properly and she suddenly passed out. Silas would have continued to be disgusted and threatening to fire Ruby until her eyes rolled at the back of her head and not in a good way and she fell on him well on her puke to be precise. Silas panicked for a moment and then he realized how hot Ruby was, It definitely must be a fever. He was still disgusted but he lightly pushed her off himself and got up, wrapped up the sheets and threw them in the trash bag. He went to the bathroom and took a wet towel and went on to wipe Ruby's face and hair and get the vomit out as much as could and then he went and replaced the sheets himself and picked up Ruby and laid her on his bed with a cold towel on her forehead. He went to shower and then when he realized she hadn't moved or woken up he called his personal doctor.

"She looks overworked and tired and it looks like she hasn't been eating well"  the doctor told Silas and for some reason he felt really angry when he heard that statement.  "How come she puked when she hasn't been eating?"  he was genuinely concerned and curious  "Well maybe she took some medicine or she suddenly force fed herself after going for too long without eating."  that answer still didn't make his sudden rage go away instead it dueled it.  "Just make sure that when she wakes up she eats soft foods first and then she can have whatever she wants"  the doctor advised   "and also make sure she avoids spicy food for some  time."

Ruby never heard the end of the day she fainted after "forgetting meals"  and puking all over her boss. It had been a week already and Silas was still clingy  "Ms. Scotts this is for you."  Jack who was Silas's driver handed her a subway sandwich and a hundred percent cranberry juice.  "call him"  she instructed and as soon as he picked up the phone  "He will report to me so you better finish that sandwich"  he spoke from the other end of the phone  "It's been a week let it go already."  Ruby didn't have the patience anymore for her boss  "well I'm just making sure you don't forget to eat."  Silas proudly said  "Well I have an alarm for that, Please stop with the meals, I'm uncomfortable."  she pleaded  "Uhh No!"  Silas blatantly refused. They went forth and back about the whole ordeal and Silas ended it by saying  "If you don't want me to be the one delivering the food you will stop complaining and eat the food."  and Ruby hung up while sighing and rolling her eyes in annoyance  "Arrogant fool!"  she exclaimed under her breath.

Ruby was looked at the maids in the house and they were sufficiently jealous of her and some had even started their own gossip column about how she did it on purpose to make sure that Silas pays attention to her. What didn't make sense was that although she could have pulled a stunt by missing meals there was no way that it was a guarantee that Silas would fall for it, he might have fired her or even just left her at some hospital. The fact that Silas was there by her side during it all and he still taking care of  her to this day still startles her herself and she is wondering why but Silas refuses to give answers as to why he is so sweet and caring.

Silas sat in his chair in the office aimlessly spinning and Maddie was just there starring at him all surprised. There was never a time that Mr. King would sit in his office and lack a thing to do or just get lost in his thoughts. He was a man who liked to keep busy and not because he had to but because he had a passion for his business. Silas was thinking about how well his plan was going , he thought that Ruby's illness couldn't have come at the perfect time after all he thought he would have to work all the way from the start. Soon he would have completed the third Phase and would move to the fourth and final stage of his plan. He really played the perfect concerned boyfriend in front of everyone at the mansion and soon it will work to his advantage.

Ruby looked a little lost and while he was feeling somewhat inhumane about using her like that, eventually she will like it. He knew she was feisty and this was the reason she was the chosen one and she will definitely handle the task at hand very well. Silas was smiling at the thought of Ruby successfully winning for him and helping him in his plan that he didn't even notice that he was actually smiling  "What is wrong with him?"  Maddie asked Grant as she was starting to feel sick at him smiling instead of that straight b***h face he has.  "Oh relationship stuff"  Grant answered thinking Maddie would get it  "Eww!"  she exclaimed in disgust like pure disgust  "Who is he dating?"  she was going to wait for Grant to answer but she immediately yelled to Silas  "Who are you dating?"  she asked and Silas snapped out of it with his face feeling strange after all his muscles were not used to smiling.
