The revenge of the scarecrow.

Chapter Six :

The next few weeks flew by . Everyone had their heads in the books and most of them focused on school. On Wednesday Katy invited Melissa and her boyfriend , Drake , to come over . Katy felt as if Emily was pulling away from her and she hated it. She struggled sharing her with Jason. Ever since they were in boarding school its always been her and Emily against the world , and now Emily is sharing all of her secrets with Jason , all those secrets Katy has never even once heard. 

T Katy met Melissa one night in the bar and they hit it off right away. Even Emily liked Melissa. Melissa was one of those girls that's just normal. With all Katy's drug problems and Emily's family problems , Melissa was the girl whose life they both wanted. Simple , easy , normal. Katy invited Melissa and her boyfriend over for a couples game night. She knew that Jason was going to be there anyways because he was there every single night. It was starting to annoy her but knew that he was helping Emily deal with what ever she was going through. At first she hesitated inviting Brandon , because he and Emily didn't like each other at all but then just said screw it , Emily must just deal with it , especially because she was being so patient with Jason coming over all the time. 

 After class Emily was walking slowly back to the dorm room. She was not in the mood for all the people especially not Brandon but knew she had to do it . She knew Katy was trying to cheer her up . So she was going to put a big smile on her face and act happy. Fake it until you make it . Emily and Jason had been talking about moving away but she knew Katy would never forgive her it she did that. It was Jason's last year and Emily had been debating moving for quite some time now. The college had online classes which you can access from all over the country and by selling the farm she inherited from her parents she and Jason could make a comfortable fresh start . The idea of the two of them moving away has started to blossom in her head and grew more and more each day.  When Emily got to the dorm they had already started playing games and drinking , she stood in the door way for a split second enjoying the view of her friends . They all looked so happy. She went over pored herself a glass of wine and sat close to Jason . He put his arm around her and pulls her in for a long kiss. After the kiss she looked over at all her friends whom were laughing and joking around. She made eye contact with Brandon who was smirking at her like a child would when he got a piece of candy . She felt sick to her stomach . She downed her glass of wine and went in for another . If she was going to sit trough a entire night with Brandon she was not going to do it sober.

They went from twister to monopoly  , from monopoly to cards , from card to never have I ever , and then from never have I ever they just started drunk talking about how fun it would be to go away for a weekend. They went over some ideas but each one turned out to be to expensive for the six of them . And water streaming down a river fast before she could even think about it Emily poured the words out of her drunk mouth " We could always go to my families farm for the long weekend , there's no one there at the moment and we could do whatever we want , I need to go there anyway to clean out some stuff we might as well make a fun weekend out of it." Jason looked shocked at her suggestion " Babe are you sure ? You don't need to do this. " he said softly . She looked at him and said " I'm sure , I only have bad memories left of the farm and that's not what I want to keep remembering , so it will be like killing two birds with one stone." But she could see her answer was not completely sitting right with him so she wrapped her arms around his neck , stood on her toes and kissed him . It was like the whole room stood still. His arms wrapped around her body perfectly. 

When they were done and came back to reality the whole room was staring at them . " Damn Emily , that was steamy ."  Melissa said in complete shock , she turned around and pulled Drake by the shirt closer to her " Come on babe it's time for us to go." As they walked out she winked at Emily and Katy , they knew exactly what that wink meant... Emily started packing her overnight bag and Katy immediately knew she was going to Jason's apartment. Katy tried making up reasons for Emily to stay and kept on offering them more drinks and asking for one more game but they didn't seem to want to so she stopped. Emily kissed Katy on the cheek and walked out holding Jason's hand . She admired them as they walked out .

" Could be us baby girl . " Brandon said while watching her . He knew she wanted what Emily and Jason had. She turned around and looked at him playfully . " You wish . " She said with a slight giggle. She knew she was killing him in the inside and he loved it. He stood up from the bed and walked towards her. He stood close in front of her looking at her deep in her eyes. He took his hand and put the hair dangling in her face behind her ear. He went in and kissed her gently on the lips. He took a step back and looked at her , she grabbed his hand and tried to pull him close again , he could see she wanted more. " Not tonight baby girl . " he said fighting every urge , he was using every single grain of self discipline not to turn around . He turned around and got his stuff from the bedside table. When he turned back around to walk around she stood there watching him . Her eyes were looking for answers . He could see he had made her feel unwanted and that's not what he wanted at all , he just wanted to treat her with more respect , the way she deserved to be treated. He took a deep breath in and started walking to the door. She grabbed his hand again as a last attempt to make him stay. He stood still for a moment. " f**k it " he said grabbing her body like he was waiting to grab it for years.
