High School Sweethearts

Hi, I wanted to use this first "chapter" to introduce you guys to the characters that will be a part of my book as well as to let you know a few things before you get into the story. However, if you don't really care about any of this then just skip it and go on to the story. Thank you for reading. First off I would like to say that this is actually the first story of mine that I will be posting on this app it's actually the first story I've written that has become more than a few words in one of my many notebooks and it isn't actually completely written and it's nowhere near perfect however I think it's time I let someone read it. secondly, this story involves abuse, drugs, and s*x (I say s*x very loosely it isn't described much at all it's just kind of implied but the word s*x is used a lot during the book.) if you are sensitive to any of those things I suggest that you skip my book altogether since this isn't intended to trigger nor make anyone feel uncomfortable and I can't promise I'll remember to include a warning or disclaimer before it actually happens and again I don't want anyone of you guys to feel bad because of something I've written. Also, this story includes three different timelines but only two of them are featured constantly. If you find that it is hard for you to follow the story then let me know and I'll try my best to fix that. This story also has two main settings which are Miami, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico I want to make it VERY clear that I am Not from either of those places and if you feel at any point that I am misrepresenting either of those places then please let me know because that is not what I am trying to do the reason I decided to set my story in those places is that I like them I think they are beautiful and have amazing cultures. I'm Hispanic (from Honduras if anyone is wondering) and so are most of my characters meaning that there might be a bit of Spanish or Spanglish sprinkled in there I'll try my best to add translations but I'm really stupid so I might forget but you can always use google translate although it isn't always accurate so be careful. Also, I don't really use quotation marks to show dialogue between characters because personally when I try that all I end up using is 'he said'  'she said'  and it becomes repetitive and annoying so instead of my dialogue looking likes this "just thinking" Josephine said. It looks like this Josephine: Just thinking kind of like a movie script. I know that not many people like seeing stories written that way so I'm just letting you know. Now I'm going to introduce you to the main characters of the story. this only includes their names/ nicknames and ages because I want you to get to know each character on your own so you can form your own opinion of them, (please note that there might be a few characters that are left out at the moment for story purposes or there might be a few that will be added as I continue to make changes to the story but these are the ones that you will definitely see) Josephine Moreno (protagonist) -Aka Nina, Jo Age: 18 Marisol Moreno- Aka Sol  Age: 18 Channel Marquez- Aka Nelly Age: 18 Jenny Luna- Aka Jen Age: 18 Chris Luna- Aka N/A Age: 19 Erick Ramos- Aka N/A Age: 19 Vanessa Vega- Aka Nessa Age: 18 Nick  Trevino- Aka N Age: 18 Maria Moreno- Aka "Maria Santana", Mom  Age: 35 Stephanie Santana- Aka Momma Age: 34 Jesy Luna (Josephine's goddaughter/ Jenny's daughter)- Aka Jes Age: 4 Well, I think this is all you need to know before you get into the story.
