Kyra rode the elevator up to her new job with a smile on her face. She actually got the job. A part of her couldn’t believe they were willing to overlook her no-show, but maybe something was finally working out for her.
She was trying to move past the bank robbery and put it all behind her. She gave her notice at her other job, and they barely blinked. She told her roommate she was moving out by the end of the month, and Autumn agreed it was for the best. All Kyra had to do was hold on to her new job, and everything would be okay.
