Oleander

Darkness That all I see, I close my eye and slowly draft to another world, one without constant worry, sadness, disappointment and worst of all pain of losing something dear. One where I'm walking around a flower garden filled with all types of white and blue flower, my favourite types of flowers. I run my fingers through the white and blue carnations. I'm consumed by their beauty and smell. I pluck one of the blue carnations and put it behind my night dark hair. I keep on walking through the flowery heaven. I pass a certain type of flower. Forget me not’s.  Her favourite.   I look at the beautiful petals, running my fingers through them, I start remembering her. Her hair Her smile Her eyes Her smell, just like forget me not’s.                              Suddenly the part of the garden with, Japanese anemone starts burning. I start hearing a voice. Help me Crystal Help me Crystal     It’s her. I have, no I need to find her.  I follow the sound of her voice, I call her name, her call turn to cries, I’m starting to get frantic, My calls turn to shouts, trying to find her.   I hear a scream, a scream that speaks so much emotion, pain, desperation and fear. That scream sends chills down my spine, my breath becomes heavy.   I run towards the scream, the garden becoming thicker by ever step. My clothes and hair get entangled in vines with thorns, I try to get out of the vines deathly grip. Her screams get louder by every passing minute, I couldn't get out of the vines, I struggle and fought but it was no use. The thorns on the vines tore through clothes and scratched my pale skin but I don't care I just need to get to her. I was suddenly released from the vines grip as soon as her cries stopped, but I keep on running and calling out name. Then I saw her Laying on a bed of forget me not’s. I slowly walk up to her, she looked like she was sleeping but, her chest wasn't rising up.   With shaky hands I slowly reached out for her hands, they were cold as ice. I froze, no, no, no. with tears welling up in my eye, I let out a shaky breath and slowly put my ear on her chest over her heart.    Nothing . No heartbeat. I failed, I couldn't protect her.   I let the tears in my eyes fall. I cry against her chest, feeling unspeakable pain in my heart.   I cried for what felt like hours, then I felt a warm liquid run from my head to my face, I raised my head, from her chest , touched my face to see a red substance on my hand, confused I turn down to look at her and saw the most horrifying thing ever. She's bleeding, Everywhere.   Her once beautiful, angelic figure was destroyed and mutilated, bones were sticking out her body, burns and piled wounds decorated her ones beautiful skin.   I scream and jump backwards in shock still feeling the dark red liquid on my face and hands. I let out a cry again, put my knees to my chest and put my head against it then start rock my body back and forth. "This isn't real, this isn't real......" I keep saying to myself trying to reassure myself and still believe she's alive then I hear the disgusting sound of bones cracking. I slowly lift my head from between my knees.   I see her turning her head in my direction. I was paralyzed with fear. Once she turned to me, she opened her eyes and said in a hoarse voice.   "Run"   Then I feel a hand cover my mouth, blocking my breathing I struggle but it was no use, I then let out a painful scream when I feel a knife being pushed into my stomach.   Chris Chris Chris Crystal   "Crystal wake up."
