Bradley hung up the phone, and Leo's answer was just as helpless.
He turned to look at Jessica, sitting beside her bed, holding her hand. "Don't worry, I'll figure something out to save you."
Jessica weakly nodded. "Just don't rush."
"Looks like I came back at the wrong time," Angela said, covering her eyes but peeking through her fingers at them. "Should I leave you two alone?"
Bradley turned around and saw the smile on her face. His expression grew even darker. "If you left, why'd you come back?"
Angela chuckled softly. "I changed my mind. I think we can still talk things through."
"Really?"
Angela looked at the hopeful expression in his eyes and felt a wave of disgust. "Really. I have just one condition. If you sign the divorce papers, I'll arrange her surgery right away."
Bradley's spark of hope quickly faded. Was she really so eager to sever ties with him completely?
He looked at Angela, his gaze intense. "Come with me."
"Bradley. What are you doing?"
Suddenly lifted off the ground, Angela widened her eyes in shock. When she realized she was in Bradley's arms, she started to struggle. Angela didn't know why he picked her up in front of so many people. They were already divorced.
"Put me down. Your beloved is still in the emergency room and hasn't been brought out yet. Shouldn't you be concerned about her?" Angela asked.
Angela was extremely displeased. But Bradley's grip did not slacken at all; his arms were strong, firmly welded to her.
"Where is your office?" Bradley asked.
He completely ignored her words and carried her towards the elevator.
As she was unable to break free, Angela's voice lost the calm she had struggled to maintain. "This is none of your business."
"Well, if you won't tell me, I'll carry you from office to office until we find it, if that's what you want."
"Bradley."
"Speak."
"5th floor, 508."
Knowing that Bradley always meant what he said, Angela didn't want to be paraded around like a monkey. She conceded, speaking in defeat.
When he saw her yielding expression, Bradley's face finally softened a bit.

"Gavin, what happened between Bradley and Dr. X?"
After they left, the group outside the emergency room finally reacted. Some doctors, seeing the situation, couldn't help but gossip.
Gavin was speechless. To be honest, he didn't understand what his boss was up to either.
In the end, he could only say, "Mr. Harrison probably needs to have a longer conversation with Dr. X."
But as for Bradley's private matters, others dared not to gossip too much about it.

Even though they avoided going from office to office, they still had to take two elevators from the emergency floor to her office. And the hospital elevators were, predictably, crowded.
Adding to that, Bradley's superior appearance made the journey even more excruciating for Angela, who wished she could leave now.
Finally, they arrived at her office. She immediately demanded, "You can put me down now."
Bradley looked down at the woman in his arms. Her previously pale face had slightly colored, showing a hint of the shyness he used to see. Most importantly, the estrangement was gone. Feeling somewhat relieved, he put her down but still trapped her between his chest and the wall.
"Angela, don't you think you owe me an explanation?"
Angela was puzzled. "Explain what?"
"Why are you Dr. X? Why didn't you say anything?"
"Is it strange that I'm Dr. X? I was always in the medical profession."
"But you were just a caregiver back then."
Angela wanted to say it was because of him. She had wanted to take care of his grandfather, and if she had done so as Dr. X, they might have suspected her of ulterior motives. Though back then, she indeed had ulterior motives. Angela had wanted to be with Bradley, but he was already with Jessica, and she didn't want to be humiliated.
Thinking of those humble times, Angela suppressed her emotions and said, "I didn't say anything because you never asked. You have already pigeonholed me, haven't you?"
Besides, in his eyes, she was just an ordinary caregiver. Later, whether she said anything or not didn't matter.
Just as Bradley was about to speak, Angela interrupted, "Alright, Mr. Harrison, if you're going to dwell on the past with pointless and trivial questions, you might as well leave! I have no desire to discuss it any further."
Looking at Bradley, Angela said, "The four years I spent living with you were not pleasant memories, and I have no wish to revisit them."
Bradley thought, 'What was she saying? She said she didn't want to remember the four years we spent together? Did that include me? Did our days disgust her?'
Bradley didn't miss the flash of impatience in her eyes, a look that almost shattered his rationality.
As Angela tried to pass by him, Bradley pressed her shoulder with his large hand. "Angela, is that really how you feel?
Does your body language match what you're thinking?"
Bradley wrapped an arm around her waist, her slender figure fitting perfectly in his grasp. His other hand slowly moved down her shoulder.
"Hmm? Answer me."
Although it was Bradley who had initiated the divorce, he hadn't expected her to leave so decisively and quickly. After learning from Gavin that she had left, he drove back to the villa. The house, which had never felt empty or spacious before, now felt desolate without her presence.
For the three months she was gone, Bradley had not pursued any romantic interests. Without her around, he had little desire, but... when she appeared, certain feelings naturally arose, especially at this moment, seeing her in a white lab coat.
How many more surprises did Angela have in store for him? After sharing a bed for four years, it was as if he was meeting Angela for the first time.
"Let go of me."
The desire in his eyes was something Angela hadn't expected. Angela thought, 'Why is he suddenly interested in me? We are divorced. Besides, I have just saved his beloved. Is he trying to humiliate me?'
Angela's face turned pale as she struggled to push Bradley away.
Unbeknownst to her, her resistance only fueled Bradley's anger and desire to conquer. Initially just slightly interested, he now felt a strong urge. His eyes scanned her office, as if searching for a good spot or marking his territory.
He lifted her onto the desk, his tall frame leaning over.
"Angela..."
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, accompanied by a man's low voice.
