With my phone in hand, I made my way back to the event space so I could have some privacy during the call. I searched for Lana's message and while propped up on one of the high chairs near the new bar, I dialled Mason's number.
The line rang a couple of times before a deep voice answered. "Who's this?"
"Hi, I'm Demi. I work with Lana. Are you Mason?"
"Who's asking?" the man asked.
I frowned. "Ummm... Demi. I just told you. I work with Lana. She said you'd be able to tell us about a demon-human mixed establishment inspection?" I asked. A long pause hung between us. "Hello?"
"I don't know you," Mason answered gruffly before hanging up the phone.
Great.
I glared at my device and rang him again.
