Kaylee parked her car outside the cafe. I took a deep breath, "you ready?" She asked me.
"I don't know, but I don't have any other choice either." With that, I looked at the car door and got out.
"Remember to be nice okay?" I nodded and we began to walk inside.
The cafe wasn't bustling with people like it usually did. We had asked Layla to meet at me and Kaylee's usual cafe. That way, we would get comfortable and it would be easier to talk.
She was an enemy of mine, the kind with whom nobody would want to deal with or come across willingly but it wasn't the time to ponder over that s**t.
We took a table by the end of the cafe and waited for Layla to arrive. Kaylee and I quickly went over some details of how we're supposed to talk and convince her.
