Everything stopped for me, the moment those words left Ashton's mouth. I forgot to breathe until I heard him again,  "She'll be fine Eli. I am coming home in 5." he tried to soothe me, but that would have worked if my senses would have been working. I put the phone down, as the cab took the last turn, stopping right outside the apartment.    Shaking, I handed him the money and made my way inside, towards the elevator. Staring blankly at my reflection in the elevator mirror, I realized how recklessly I had been crying. Inaudibly, I cried as the tears kept falling unstoppable.
